I went out last week. The water hole I was calling at dried up. The tracks (lion deer pig) are all very old. We did call in a few fox. Scared the living crap out of us. They came charging in from down wind. I just have to find a new spot. I'm keeping at it. It will happen for me one day...

Thanks for all the PM suggestions. Will be hitting them all up this year. My buddy and I did go out for some night time calling. It was exciting. The foxes that come up behind you (even though the wind was in their favor) kinda keeps you on your toes. No lion for us last night. But still called in a few fox. It was hard to let them walk; but might be trapping there later this year. We had this little guy stop by with dinner.

I'm pretty sure it is; but had to ask. So I found what I believe to be Lion scat. I have found the same sized scat every time I go up to this spot. The piles are always found within a 10 yard square. It is filled with bones and fur. I also think that this is a lion scrape. Like I said, I'm pretty sure it is from a lion. just looking for conformation. Thanks

With all the crap going around ( bad decisions by G&F employees, have to win the lotto to afford to draw a tag IF you are drawn at all) I decided to get going on preparation for August. I ran down to the mail box, and ran back. As soon as I walked in the door, I did 20 push-ups and 20 sit-ups, then went right out the back door and let some arrows fly. Gotta get ready sooner or later... This is only from 20 yards; but you have to start somewhere....
