Where I hunt, there is a not very friendly forest service guy who makes people move their camp 10 feet to the left, cause they camped on some grass... Its true. Erensto was there to see it. The guy stated that you can not put cameras or tree stands or salt on wilderness. He states if you leave them on wilderness and he finds them he will take them. If you show up to claim them they write you a $150-$250 ticket. -
I was going to say bonecollector... He is a big 9ers fan for some reason...

Who might this be?

Even though the forest belongs to everyone, ( ha ha ha I cant believe I just said that) I would find another location to hang my camera if one was already there. Just my $.02

Trapping catalog uses one of my pictures with out permission
bowhuntaz1 posted a topic in The Campfire
So I'm looking through The Snare Shop 2013-2014 Retail Catalog. I see a picture of my ringtail on page 53. It states " Ringtail/Miners Cat caught in Arizona" I would think they would ask for permission before posting the pic. Dont you??? I posted the picture in 2 places. This site along with trapping forum. My screen name is the same on both sites... Here is the picture in the catalog. and here is the link to prove its my pic. The Ringtrail is at my taxidermist(Dale and Heather). http://www.coueswhitetail.com/forums/topic/37959-a-few-pics-from-the-trapline/ Whats is your thoughts? To be honest, I'm kinda mad and honored at the same time... Not looking to gain anything. Just venting. -

Well I sure do feel like an a$$... I sent the company an email, and apparently they keep better records than I do. I actually submitted the picture on their Facebook page, months ago, for a chance to be in the catalog. Guess my wife is right about my memory. I was wrong and am owning up to it. I did apologize to the company. James -
I would try the mouth of the salt in to the lake. Just my two cents

Found what is left of a pair of Great Horned Owl chicks. Not sure what got it. The other chick is almost fully adult feathered except for some fuzz still around its head. Was fun watching the family. Hope it survives. Found this little guy under my truck when I got back.

My buddy Richard bbd1234, sends me a picture message around 6:30am of a few drops of blood on a log. 1/2 hour later I call and ask if he found it yet, with a "No" response. 20 minutes later I get the call."BIG BEAR DOWN" He stated it's going to take him all day with just him and his wife. I get directions and I'm out the door. An hour and a half later He picks me up on his quad and up the mountain we go. 330 yard shot when the boar was standing up eating stuff off a branch that blew up the left shoulder. 2nd shot shattered the right upper arm. The boar expired about 400 yards down the ravine from the dirt trail. 6'8" from tip of the nose to tip of the tail. Richard and I could barley move the hind end to make it into smaller pieces. Here are some pics. I was not there before he started dressing it. This Bear's molars were worn down almost to the gums. I will throw in a few pics with me later after I get them. Feel free to add anything you want Richard. After all, it IS your hunt!!!!!!
