I was up in unit 27 a couple of days ago we got them to strut. But no gobble action yet. Give them a week or so the'll get with it.

I got the early spring hunt this year. And yes it is a good way to get the kids hooked. Gets them to the outdoors, keeps them out of trouble. And its a great learning experience. I took my 11 year old last year and I called one in for him. I am surprised he hit it, he had turkey fever BAD. After he shot it he started crying. I said whats wrong. He said (Im just so happy dad.) That was priceless!!!!!!!!! Now he loves hunting with dad. And yes hes going again this year.
