My buddies brother was up there and had stalked up to and had eyes on three bucks when low and behold **deputy dumb shoot hunting from his truck came plowing through ,despite motions from him to keep driving he stoped to chat and spoil his hunt ..needless to say the deer split **DEPUTY DUMB shoot....Dep-u-t d-UM-B SHHit (adj) a person or persons who's actions are so impolsivly self centerd and stupid for the good of none (would rather no one to win if they can not[aka sore loser]) that they become the fore most authority of stupidity and stupid actions for that moment

go with what fits you best and most commfortable...I am going to add a plug (and let me state for legal porposes I am not nor have I ever been an employee or associate of the following companys, further more the following are soley my opinions and not the opinions or beliefs of couse whitetail.com. .... enough with that bull. any way If it hasn't been said yet support your local archery shop/'s!!! my personal favorite and the only one I will buy archery specific gear and have do any work on my bow is cornerarchery in phoenix.Thier level of customer service ,competence and knowledge and commitment to quality left me dumbfounded It is truley rare in todays society of corperate chains. Im not going to spread bad jgu-jgu by mentioning names but there is a one stop shoping center for hunters in phoenix that I litteraly was at the counter with hundreds of dollars worth of merchandise and I walked out because thier customer service and appreciation SUCKS!! to me it dosent pay to spend my hard earned $$ from a place that could care-less about what you need or more importantly whats right for you as long as they make a sale. I am huge on customer service it is how you know someone takes pride in what they do , and knows what they are doing- think about that if some one is at the pinacle of thier trade they are very humble in the way they carry them selves with a customer. (they have nothing to prove)

oddly enough I just read an article about a hunter who made a through shot on a white tail shoulder to shoulder and couldnt find it,next season he tagged a 10 pnt that kinda resembled that same deer after he caped it out he found the rest of his arrow still in him from its left to just protruding its right shoulder- now aint that some luck

Trouble and Danger in UNIT 34A
newbee replied to BACKCOUNTRY's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I've already replied to the same topic in archery hunting, and there is a post here that made me think a little more, the point of this mans death to us should be awareness of our surroundings, and to be carefull when trecking out alone.as horrible this may be ,and how much my prayers and heart go out to his family -or who did or why it was done can not be changed! what can be changed is that we take the neccessary steps to make sure it doesnt happen to any one else we know or dont know!! if you come through my camp you better have a sincere smile and an open hand , we all have natural instincts when something is wrong its the same thing when a deer or what ever you are hunting spooks and runs they can hear smell see and feel when danger is near, listen to your gut instinct .if you offend someone by racking a shotgun cause they dont seem right well you cant do anything about it . it is truly a sad day when we must discuss such things , but my priority is to come home alive from a weekend trip! heres an idea, for any former millitary should get a good chuckle about it but its a thought.. I cant think for the life of who makes them but they are easy as pie to make..basicley its an early warning device made out of machined alluminium or fabricated out of steel- it uses a blank 12 ga. shell and a trip wire if you go out alone set up a perimeter defense 50 yards or so away and a few along the main trails as they come to your encampment second 1st generation night vision if one goes off grab your pistol,or shot gun and put on your nvg,s-this may sound a bit extreme but it better than dead! dont get me wrong, I am a law abiding citizen as well as an ethical hunter but facts are facts drug runners are comming in from the south and there are illegal (obviously) drug farms throughout the north.not to mention when I start bringing my boys hunting with me..I said it before, and ill say it again it is better to be judged by twelve than carried by six -
It is better to be juged by twelve than carried by six, (I didn't know you couldn't carry a pistol with you) But I hunt alone and sure as SH** wont go out there with out a side arm -end of story! My prayers are with our lost brother and his family. end note* Maybe we should petition or loby to have that regulation amended, even if you are with a partner or hunting in a group ,some one with a gun can compromise your saftey pretty quick if you cant match them either way there is enough supporting factors involved that it should be acceptable to protect your self. if they are afraid of someone doing the wrong thing with thier pistol there are already laws against poaching and it should be classified as such. my 2 cents for what its worth

glock puts out a fine pistol I saw a hunting video where the guy used a 10mm for deer . verry reliable only you have to use strict clearing dicipline and visualy check twice that the magazine is out and the chamber is clear before cleaning or disasembly

Im shooting for the mountains, there are no better views of gods country in my opinion.and pretty much as remote as I can.
