corner archery -

I used them and did not like them at all, if you use a bisquit they'll ripple in less than an after noon of shooting. but in they put a spin on your arrow - and as ck said they do slow your arrow down, it all depends on shooters preference

Legal to carry pistol during Archery only Hunts
newbee replied to AZP&Y's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
The thing I never understood ,(and I am glad GF looks at it this way now) is that if you shoot at anything you are not supossed to it is illeagle, if you shoot a dear w/ a pistol during your archery hunt, its illeagle- basicaly the only poeple who will violate this law is someone who already has or would any way! I never went out w/ out a side arm(I hunt alone and deep in the back country) It served two purposes, a PDW , and a means to signal ICE. will it beat a AK47 no, It doesnt have to , but it opens the gap , and I can put rounds on target easily out to 50 yrds. I go out for one major reason -to enjoy the open country mostly untouched by humans. 2nd to hopfuly fill my tag, and 3rd come home . I strongly doubt that there will be a mass rise in illeagle taking of wild life because of this. and as rembrant stated more or less try knocking a arrow w/ a large hungry critter coming at you real fast. -

Well if aits about time doesnt sum it up,I dont know what will! flash back to almost a year ago, I asked opinions on either a .243, or a .308- and the winner was.................. REMINGTON 700 VSF, w/ a bushnell 3500 elite mildot reticle(poor mans leopold) and a harris bipod. Ive shot sub 1/2 MOA groups @ 100 yrds- verry happy indeed thanks for all the input(from a year ago) newbee -

Carrying a handgun while archery hunting?
newbee replied to Whitehntr's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I recently took a hunters ed class and the AZGF warden said its a gray area in that if your in unit 21 youll be sighted--36 or 1 or any known trouble spots it is un likely call your regional office, talk to a game warden, get thier name and AO and write down what they say. and to be safe buy the regulation book(about 2-3" thick) read it and carry it w/ you and cross verrify your info. I would say a revolver w/ snake shot would be OK ,could be used as an emergency singnal too??my .02 Ill be expecting change as well -

Allegiance Sight/Rest Recommendations?
newbee replied to 6.5man's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
I shoot a justice, and use a trophy ridge w good results, as with any thing Id say its a compromise w/ personal preferance, price and feel- go to a shop and try them out and buy the one that you feel is easiest (as far as eye relief and easy target/pin acquisition) and then again practice practice..etc. goodluck -
If youre shooting in competitions splitting hairs yes, for hunting you have a better sized area of forgiveness or larger bulls eye if you will. however accuracy goes with consistency, and if you can afford them buy them. but more over practice practice practice, consistent form will go further than high priced gear. thats my .02 any way

HERES's some thing else.. I just saved a bunch of money on my ... Hunting gard. In retro spec I bet a nbc suit would work for a bit of time

I know we hit this last season, but figured id start it up again . any one read the article in PB comparing the two?? It makes me want to change to xx78's . so lets get it started- TASTES GREAT-
-
Be sure to know "use of force " laws before you go out this season, also you need to be able to articulate exactly what happend and how the threat elevated high enough for you to feel your life or person ,and/or other persons lives were in danger from serious bodily harm ,injury and or death, (a rock ,branch, log etc. can be used as a deadly weapon )so dont under estimate the power of improvising. be safe out there
