4 days until we start our adventure in unit 24A. Any advice on the area would be great. I assume some of you have already taken your deer this past weekend. If so congrats. I'm hoping for the same success.

Thanks for the advise. That was how our 6A December Rut went last year. Sit and glass, sit and glass then after 3 hours they appeared as if they were watching us. Crazy!!

Last Year I had the Dec rut hunt in 6A. We found the best area to be the divide tank area off 260. You will need to go back in the deep stuff but we saw a lot of bucks. Good Luck

That's a nice one. Our group is afraid that the southern portion of the unit will be overloaded so we are thinking about the northen portion. any thoughts on that?

I have the same hunt starting next weekend. We have scouted the North section of dripping springs mountain and have seen a good amount of activity. Any thoughts about the Apache Mountaings? I have attached a picture (i think) of what we saw today
