i rifle hunt 36a/b every year and every year when im climbing those mountains i always say i wish i had a horse. the old timers i hunt with used to use them (still have them) and i hear a lot of stories from falling on cholla to broken bones and even run away horses haha. but when i ask them about the ground they cover and they all agree there is nothing better.

Bull Basin Archery (New store hours)
Lucafu1 replied to Jesseplim's topic in Bowhunting for Coues Deer
He isnt lying, I was there yesterday and today after not stopping by for about a year. Very very friendly. cant wait to go back. Thank you Sir. Luis -
haha you should have asked them for their camera's gps coordinates. they have a few out there.
-
i put in for it but didnt get it. my friend and his son did so ill probably be out there anyways. good luck.
-
These crappy frames? yup those are the ones im talking about. ive seen that commercial before haha. ill take frame twist/ bend all day over cracks. at least their drive trains are very good.
-
i cant see videos at work, but yeah GM has the worse frames out of the 3, followed by dodge and then ford. i weld them all but i have yet to have a ford crack on me anywhere. dodge only cracks with the cummins at the motor mounts because of the weight or at any of the suspension mounting points. GMs can and will crack anywhere, ESPECIALLY the 1/2 tons. I dont know what it is but they are bad.
-
ive seen a bunch of dodges with blown transmissions. the trucks are beat to you know what but that is because they are pretty much abused. the cummins is the best engine out of the three but ive seen them let go too. too bad everything else on the dodge is junk (but they are getting better). so far the 6.7 fords are doing really well (best chassis by far). GMs are pretty good but i wouldnt want one with their crappy wiring and frames but like anything if you take care of them they will last. these are all stock trucks. i have a 96 powerstroke. i made the exhaust from the turbo back, filter with intake tube modified, chip, shift kit. i recently lost reverse so pretty soon ill be rebuilding my tranny when i find some time.

i dont have any cameras but i think if i had more than 4 i would forget where i put them hahaha.

any special fees for applying online with azgfd?
Lucafu1 replied to biglakejake's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
You know usually I say whatever BofA hasn't messed with any of my gun buying and hunting stuff. HOWEVER, two years in a row my debit card I used to put in for elk and lope online got cancelled within a day of the update time. This year I fixed it in time, last year no dice so lost my loyalty point and the point or tag. Needless to say that got a profanity laced phone call about the timing of their crap when it happened this year. Needless to say that got a profanity laced phone call about the timing of their crap when it happened this year. Yeah, I had the same issue with the elk/antelope draw this year. I was putting in for myself and 3 sons all back-to-back. Turns out if B of A sees a whole bunch of small fees from the same vendor in a short time they consider it "suspicious" and can cancel those charges at their discretion. G&F was willing to work with me, but since I messed up and didn't include an email address on some of the boys' apps, I had no receipt for those and they weren't able to honor the apps. So, if you do go with a B of A card, try and spread them out as much as possible, and make sure to include an email address on the last step so you get a record of the transaction. This is the first time in years of applying that I had this problem, and I've always used my B of A card. We did lose a couple of antelope apps and the boys will have to start over on their loyalty point. But it sure beats writing hundreds of dollars worth of checks for G&F to cash, collect interest on then "refund" when you aren't drawn. This time I've got all the receipts and I've made sure the charges went through. All part of playing the game I suppose. One of my apps was declined by BofA. I called them and they said I need to wait 15 minutes between charges if i want them to go through. I called AZGF and they said they cant do anything. But the lady did tell me they will try and hit the card again for the app fee. I hope so. I submitted an email with my apps but didn’t receive an email receipt. I asked about this and she said it takes 72 hours. I hope all this is true. -
"The proper function of man is to live, not to exist. I shall not waste my days in trying to prolong them. I shall use my time." Jack London i did my living while i was in the army. now my job is to try and get my daughter ready and secure a future for her. I thank you for your service and God bless you and your descent, but I must ask .. and also to AZLance... I travel to Rocky Point, Caborca, Nogales, Hermosillo in another words, all over the state of Sonora 6 to 7 times per year... What's the problem with traveling there? To dangerous? Please explain. Ernesto C Thanks Ernesto. Honestly for me I just dont trust what could happen there and since I cannot do anything to protect myself, I dont feel comfortable there. Its a shame because I used to love to go as a kid and would still love to go just to see family. But with all the drug B.S. and corruption there I wont chance it.
-
there sure are a lot of AZGF nut swingers on here. people are upset because of the double standards, they should be setting the example. when people see corruption or the department with a "do as I say, not as I do" attitude they are going to get angry.
-
what are you talking about? we have a Industrial Metal Supply. Its off of Alvernon in between Irvington and Ajo on the West side of the road. they pretty much have everything.

Dirty tactics once again from the AZGFD! Now you'll know why to never trust them

pretty dang sad. -
You can also hunt there if you are a veteran who is 50% or more disabled by the VA.

Aww Casey, please don't pout. It will bring me to tears. In the meantime, consider these adages before you unleash your almost intelligence on another CWT member in the future over a minor spelling error or word misuse: People who live in glass houses shouldn't throw stones. Better to remain silent and be thought a fool than to speak out and remove all doubt. A fool’s tongue is long enough to cut his own throat. The pot calling the kettle black. What's good for the goose is good for the gander. Never venture out of your depth till you can swim. Better to do nothing than to do ill. Do unto others as you would others should do to you. Deep rivers move in silence, shallow brooks are noisy He that knows nothing, knows enough if he knows how to be silent. No man learneth but by pain or shame. It is bitter fare to eat one’s own words. A fool cannot be silent. A little knowledge is a dangerous thing. Affectation of wisdom often prevents us from becoming wise. POST OF THE YEAR.

i got my 2nd bull tag in a row after a few years of getting skunked. i credit it to my lifetime license i got haha. seriously though i should get an extra bonus point for getting it
-
After you fill your tag can you still hunt predators while there is still a hunt going on? I always carrry a lion tag with me anyways but my father-in-law has always made a stink about carrying a rifle during a active hunt without a tag for that hunt. i dont see why not but like everything i am sure there could be a rule about it somewhere. i always forget to ask a game warden when i do see them (not often) so id figure id ask her before this next hunt starts. thanks.
-
ok thanks. maybe these old guys took that rule and applied it to every hunt or something. they are very over cautious when it comes to hunting and the rules.
-
Thats how I see it. I was just wondering if I was the only one (i am in my hunting group).

you dont have to be personally served for it to be legal, just someone of legal age. and they have 120 days to serve you, not 45 or 90.
