Yes, on my sheep hunt I made a walking stick from an agave stem from the advice of Chris Harlow. It helped tremendously for the reasons listed above. I like the collapsible ones for the bag when I might need something.

Ive never had a problem shooting off a sled (with or without weight) but I mainly use them without weight. Same zero as shooting off bags. I don't use any weight when shooting off my dft2 that I just bought. Its a nice sled.

I have too much indian blood in me to grow a real beard but that doesn't stop me. I hate shaving anyways, especially after having to shave almost everyday during my 20s.

I just took out my new (to me) .280 Rem. Shot some Barnes 140gr TTSX. Pretty dang accurate. I like the 7mm-08 as well.

I used both with many tripods and heads, vanguard included. If I could only have one size it would be low.

I am pretty sure they can only upgrade to whatever is the latest of the version you have. that means you can get the latest glass on the old SLC binos but you cant upgrade to HD. Same with the ELs to Swarovision. Theyre a different bino.

I use a vortex viper on my .223 predator hunter. Its my most accurate rifle.
