16A deer aagain this year. Most of my hunting crew also drew the same tag. Should be another fun year. Good luck to everyone who drew tags.

See if Hunt of a Lifetime has a chapter in NM. You might also check with NM Game and Fish to see if they have any state sponsored programs. If you have the time and energy, you could start your own non-profit like our Outdoor Experience 4 All group like was started here.

Do you have any other pictures of this buck? It would be nice to have a good profile and one dead on from the front and one from the rear. From this picture I would be hard pressed to score him more than 80. He does have good mass on the bottom and his prongs might be larger than they look here, but more pictures would be nice to get a better idea of score. If I had a tag, I would have a hard time keeping my finger off the trigger on this buck.

anyone know the storyon this brute?

That sure is one dandy of buck. I wish I did know the story behind it. -
I have both scopes, an older ST80 and a newer STS65HD and the only way I can tell a difference is the picture quality I get with my Minox DCM. Other than the pictures, you really can't see any difference.

My hunting partner Kirk is in town from NM this week and also picked up his deer mount. He stopped by to brag a bit so I had to take a couple of photos.

Just in used condition. Like any tool, it has some wear but still works great and is a good deal for anyone who could use it.

Here are a couple of pics.

Take a lot of help with you. It is hot and hard work to process even a small buffalo. Lots of ice and coolers to pack the meat in also. An ez up canopy is helpfull. I would also take a battery operated saws-all with long blades to make quick work of cutting it up. Good luck and make sure you take lots of photos to post here after your hunt.

I love my Outdoorsmans tri pod. I have the tall legs with the pan attachment and pistol grip. It is tall enough for most to stand behind and will go short so you can sit behind it as well. I also have the Jim White pan head for my spotting scope. It is light weight and packs very well and is very durable. I have not been able to break it yet. I have had others and all have failed. I have replaced 2 of the legs on my Bogen. If the tall version is not tall enough, they do have extensions for the vertically endowed.

Conner, I remember meeting you and your dad at last years junior deer camp. Congrats again on great deer. Also, congrats on being a fine young man who is not embarassed to let everyone know how you feel about him. My dad is in his mid 70's and we still hunt together. The roles are somewhat reversed now, but I still feel the same way about my dad now, as you feel about yours. Your dad should always be your hero, and your teacher. I wish I knew then what I know now. I would have listened alot more back then. Stay on the path your on, always listen to your dad, and follow your dreams. I am very happy to have met you and your dad last year, and hope to see you again. Ken.

THe spare is a differnet tire but all 5 wheels are Pro Comp's with center caps and lug nuts and locks. PM me if you are interested.

Winchester model 70 caliber 30 06 into something else
KCA205 replied to seek100plus's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
RR is right to ask if this is a pre-64. If it is, don't change it into something else. Check the value on the gun and you might be very surprised. I have a couple pre 64's and they stay in the safe. You will be money ahead to find something else to fit your needs. My 2 cents worth. -
Tell us about your favorite movies
KCA205 replied to Ernesto C's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
+1 Josey Wales all the way. Pretty much all the old westerns with John Wayne and Clint Eastwood. -
Mike, I hope it passes when we get to vote. You never know how it will go. The good news is that the NRA is behind it and will most likely use their dollars on advertising and such so we will see. It also has the support of AZGFD and that should help too.

The right to hunt has to go to the ballot and be voted on by the residents of Arizona before they can change the state constitution. Looks like we will get to vote on it soon.

Congrats to all you who drew tags.... I'm looking for a good recipe for bonus points. If I eat them all I might get full....
