just an idea. if you like hunting an area, do not post it on an open forum. Sharing is always your option, however you probably just killed your spot. A phone call or private message would be a better idea. My best quail spot was killed that way, sort of. I took a friend, he took 7 friends from work, ect.....

Sabino Canyon is a great place to hunt. After you kill, you can ask all the hikers to help you carry out your animal and gear. Good luck.

Now that it has rained and the fire/firearm restrictions have been lifted, was going to go shoot some of my rifles long range. Finished attaching rail to the Manners stock for my Tikka. Have one for my Savage and an old Rem 600. Will post when those are built. Thought I'd see which one has better contrast.

I know there are many ways to attach a rifle to a tripod, but I couldn't find one that didn't have to always be on the rifle that worked with the Manfrotto 501/701 heads. I took a quick detach mount that is used to put an ACOG onto a Picatinny rail and inverted it and attached it to the plate. Works great. I can switch it without tools between anything that i have with a rail on the bottom.

I stand corrected, The professional hunters have spoken. There are not any cons to the Loc Jaw, it is a perfect system, we should all have one on every rifle we own. Case closed.
