Cooper 52 Jackson Game Rifle (custom shop) 280 AI
cactusjack replied to Go2CO's topic in Classified Ads
somebody buy this so I can quit dwelling on it! From what I see, its a 7mm Rem Mag without the barrel erosion or violent recoil.- 18 replies

Mr silencer helped me with mine. It's good. With what I know now,I'd go with the azgunlaw
-
that is a great rifle to start with. My advice on optics, buy the very best you can afford. Stretch your budget on the scope. Nothing worse then drawing a great tag, spending all the time scouting, glassing and money traveling, ect and having your scope fogged up or getting knocked out of zero. imo

are u looking for or selling? I believe you are trying to buy one.

Silencerco has a trust on their website that is easy. Arizona gun trust lawyer had a website too. Azgunlaw.com

The spiral fluted barrel is awesome. How much did that shave off the weight

Suppressors for hunting rifles
cactusjack replied to cactusjack's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
No service required on rifle suppressors. 22 rim fire cans need to be cleaned from the lead build up. Ear plugs are great, but they don't reduce recoil, improve accuracy or stop the conduction of sound waves through the bones in skull. I have a 300ultramag Tejas with a muzzle brake on it. It is miserable for those around me at the range when i shot it. I will have it suppressed someday if I ever shoot it again. -

I own 2 Harvesters with stamps. I own 1 Harvester and 1 Omega that are in ATF jail still. The Harvester is lighter. and the omega wasnt out when I bought the others. -
Suppressors for hunting rifles
cactusjack replied to cactusjack's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Sorry for the confusion on the time. It takes a couple of months (up to 6 in some occasions) to get the Federal Stamp back. The suppressors run from 600 to 1000 depending on what it is made from. Then you still have to pay the 200 tax stamp to the Feds. I tried to post the picture of the Model Seven. I will try again. Thank you LanceKenyon for clearing up the fog. Correct on the poi (point of impact) shift. That is the reason I like to dedicate a suppressor to the rifle I build. I try not to shoot them unsuppressed anymore. -
Great place to purchase guns.... Buds Guns
cactusjack replied to Chris's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Buds is great. Cabelas is great. Supporting a local dealer that will have what you need a short notice or on hard to get items=priceless. Randall's has always treated me well. So has Merchant Firearms in Ahwatukee. -
please delete, posted twice by accident.

I have a box of reloads that I got with a bunch of stuff I was given. I know nothing about who or how it was loaded. They should probably be pulled and reloaded. I will post pictures of it. If you have a revolver chambered in 22Jet and want it, let me know.

I love my Hilleberg tents. Huge for being lightweight tents, strong, and the way they go up with the rain fly attached is great if you are caught in a storm and need to set up. Good luck on the sale. I can't say enough good about them. I had the Nallo 3GT but needed one with 2 entrances. I have 3 of their tents now.

Nice rig. Is that a PhantomTi?

I have only been shooting factory stuff so far. My reloading bench/garage is in a state of chaos. I have all the stuff, just not the time or location set up.

Anyone willing to help me instal my new barrel on my AR10????

Swarovski comes out on top again.

I think you have to get them collimated or you will have one heck of an headache. Another issue with building your own is width of eyes. My Doctors and the Kowas have the ability to change the width of the eyepieces without moving the whole setup in and out. My 11yo daughter can use mine right after I do. I have a giant bucket head. I posted a picture before but I love this shot. She glassed for hours on last years left over tag in 32. She saw tons of things that weren't deer. (birds, javelina, cows, horses...)

Kowa Highlanders/ for those who've had or used them
cactusjack replied to 1denogean's topic in Optics and tripods
I went with the Doctors because the angled eyepieces and weight. I got the 20-50x80ed. I love thrm. I carry them pretty far in at times.
