backpacking tents.... what are you guys using?

Nice. My favorite part of the Hilleberg system is that it is a double wall tent that you set up with the outer wall and inner wall at the same time. In a rain storm, the inner tent stays dry. Great design -
that is a great setup. Should not last long.

I've spent 1200 on a elk hunt and ended up eating tag soup. This was a great deal. -

Backpack hunting in the SNOW/COLD you must have a way to dry your boots and clothing. You can do most of your cooking on the stove and warm up after being out all day long when the temperature is in the teens or much colder. A heated tipi is light, and gives plenty of space for its size. I have Seek Outside four man and large stove, its a little big when your by yourself but I can stand up to stretch when waiting out a storm. Lots of room for fire wood, and I stand up to get dressed. It can with stand a blizzard and weights only 7. 3 pounds with stove. They make smaller tipis and up to a 24 man tipi. If get on their mailing list they have second sales, I only paid $530 for my 4 man. https://seekoutside.com/ I looked into going with a teepee but I mostly hunt in the desert and there are too many critters and bugs moving around for my liking. I would love to try one up in snow country. I will get on their email list. -
One of my girls will use my kimber Adirondack in 6.5 on her youth cow hunt. I'm shooting the 143gr ELDX. It stacks them and suppressed it's a baby to shoot

And 5 kids that hunt

Just what I need, another tripod. I will probably end up adding it to the herd.

I have a big Agnes flycreek ul3 that I bought for my kids to take. I have a hilleberg atko if I go solo or a hilleberg kaitum 3gt if I go with someone. -
It's their policy, it's not a law or statute. I have a policy that I don't do business with companies that have ridged arbitrary policies,

The down in mine isnt treated or is the bag waterproof. I havent had much of a problem venting my Hillibergs. I am planning on getting a waterproof cover. If I were to buy another bag I'd get the GWS Antelope or Badger. Gore Wind stopper is pretty waterproof. http://www.westernmountaineering.com/sleeping-bags/gore-windstopper-series/antelope-gws/ The Luxury-lite cot has been worth the carry weight. I have a bad back and it has been a lifesaver. Getting great sleep is the secret for hunting harder.

I have 2 Hilleberg tents and love them. Truly bomb proof. An Atko and a Kaitum 3 GT. As for bags, my favorite are Western Mountaineering or Feathered Friends. I also carry a Luxrylite or Ultralite cot and a insulated pad.

Where are you located

thats what I had to do. I had to get a bonded title. The other way was to reg it as a homebuilt trailer but they want you to have all your receipts.
-
Good luck. I had a hard time finding the M416 I bought to build an expedition trailer. Hope you find what you are after.
