GERMAN SHORTHAIR POINTER PUPS FOR SALE

These dogs are the real deal... I bought Spazz from Jim in February and she is Bad a$$. She is an inside dog and is very loving with the family. As soon as I take her outside she goes into freak mode , It's like an on off switch, she starts hunting right away and points like a champ. Best dog i've ever owned.

    Cola Blanca Outfitters

Ditto on "Dan is the Man". One of the things I liked about Dan's operation is he knew exactly how to handle the border crossings which was one of my concerns going into Mexico with two rifles, quick and easy. The ranches are second to none, big bucks everywhere . The ranchers are very generous and humble, it was almost like going back in time. It is an experience everyone who loves coues deer hunting should do at least one time in their lives and Cola Blanca would be the one I would endorse.

    San Carlos

June We caught about 60 fish in 4 days. Most of them were the left over spawning crappie still in the bushes. The bass bite was dead, we caught about 5 bass on spinnerbaits with the largest being about 3.5 lbs. We also caught about a dozen catfish with minnows while fishing for crappie. I don't know what the water temp was cause I broke my transducer while unloading the boat on the first day . All in all we had a good trip.

68 degree water temp Wow I figured these last cold fronts would have kept it down in the low 60's. Thanks for the update.

    New Scope, Turrets BDC?

This is my suggestion from the experience I have with Turrets. I would zero in at 100 yards set the turret, then make sure it is hitting at 200, 250, 300, 350, 400 and so on. I would leave the gun set at 300 (because that's what you said you normally hunted with) and hunt like you always have. The problem i've had with turrets is I get all caught up with dialing the exact yardage at normal ranges and blow the shot. (ask azpackhorse) The only time you need to dial in is when you have PLENTY of time to set up for the shot and at long ranges. If the animal you are hunting is moving at normal range don't mess with the turrets just do what you've always done. If you have a bedded buck or a buck that is feeding and doesn't know you are there, now you have plenty of time to set the turret and make the shot. Turrets are an awesome tool...my youngest son killed his first buck at 498 yards with a .243, his second was at 412. My oldest sons record is 580 yards one shot with my 30.06. I dropped a lion last year at 570 but missed a good buck at 300 trying to get the exact yardage and jerked the trigger. OK packhorse you can stop laughing. just my .02 Good luck!!!

    San Carlos Crappie and bass

Just got back from a three day trip to San Carlos...the fishing was excellent. We caught limits of Crappie and bass every day. The Crappie were already spawning so we concentrated on shallow water bushes with minnows and caught several 2-2.5lb fish. The Bass were between pre spawn and spawn, we managed to catch 6 over five pounds and 1 that tip the scale at 10lbs. I forgot the camera so no pictures .

Thanks for the replies...Not much to the story. Gabe and I hunted Brush Busters ranch and Wayne found them right away. We had about a 300 yard shot but it was a little windy so we decided to get closer. Wayne stayed back just in case they moved. We got to about 75 yards and Gabe missed the first shot but came back with a hard hit on the second. I gave Gabe alittle heck because it was his first miss with his new 25.06 and he blew the pigs behind pretty bad with the second, the second shot went in the front shoulder but exited in the pigs rear. That's why the photos don't show the rear.
