    I Hate Life!

CHD my heart bleeds for you..... I can relate to your situation...last year Scott Adams and I drew the late hunt in 27/28. I got the flu the week before my hunt. Man did it bite, I still tried hunting opening morning but ended up making it worse. I finally got to hunt the last three days of a two week hunt. Can you imagine trying to keep up with Scott and Craig just after the flu...I remember Craig asking Scott if he thought the elevation was getting to me, as to why I was sucking eggs so bad. Hang in there, it might be a blessing in disguise.....Come to think of it, your better off just standing in front of a Rolling semi. he he

    Sonora Coues bucks

dang, Bob that's you I didn't recognize you, I guess I didn't even pay attention to who the hunters were. I was kinda distracted by the horn porn. . Well what's the story on these awsome bucks? I think I might be headed down there the end of January with Allen.

    2005 Draft regulations

Thanks Kevin....I think i'm going to have to start doing that. The unit I bowhunt in NM is only giving out 25 tags for both muleys and coues, no seperate hunt. That bites. Oh well i'm in favor of a draw system. I'm just going to have to draw the burro mountains next year.

    2005 Draft regulations

O.K. So I go buy an OTC general hunt license and a deer tag. I don't get a buck, so I can apply for a rifle hunt. Let say I draw a rifle hunt in the kiabab. (remember it's make believe ) So now I have two deer tags and two deer licenses. Do I have to pay again if I draw a rifle hunt? Or can I use the same license and pay for another tag? How does that work?

    2005 Draft regulations

Can one of you AZ boys or girls , tell me how that works exactly. I mean Az OTC bow in Jan. can I still put in the rifle draw and if I don't draw I can still hunt in Dec bow? How does that work?

Any Tags Filled as of yet

Scott that buck looks like the one we saw last year in the Blue . The one up on the ridge was wider but the one in the creek looks like this bad boy. We went out to where you and Austin took the Coues buck in NM. We hiked up to D tank and it's getting pounded right now. My buddy Jason will be hunting that area during the NM archery season. I'll be up by Mogollon Baldy trying for that 100"er. Good Luck Craig

We've been out scouting for our NM hunt and the rut looks like it's in full swing for muleys. Saw four muley bucks and one coues buck. The muleys were chasing does pretty hard. But the Coues buck was by himself. It will be interesting to see what will happen by Jan 8, when our season starts.

    Q? winter water hole activity

Water holes are good areas for ambushing the grey ghost. I prefer hunting around salt/mineral licks if your lucky enough to find one. Where I bow hunt, it's real hard to do the spot and stalk thing, because of the snow. Although, if I find a good scrape line in the snow, i'll usually set up a groud blind down wind of the trail and wait. Thing happen fast during the rut so you have to be ready.

    Another Burro Buck

Scott, I think he visits this site, if I remember correctly this site was where he found my service. The hunter is a game warden from California, his buddy on the left is from AZ. I did compliment them on a great photograph. It will definetly make the "successful hunts for 2004" page in the website.

    Hiking staff's

AZ Guide...That is the exact Staff (Western Walking Stik) that we will be marketing in 2005. There's just a few more things to work out and we should have them available to the public.

    Hiking staff's

Funny that this topic has come up. I've been talking with Fred from Morenci, he's the guy that builds the staffs that Scott and I use. We're planning on marketing these staffs in 2005. I'll post pix of what one looks like soon. There is no way that I would ever go out scouting, hunting without my staff.

    Plane Crash

Sorry to hear about your friends Coues. Losing a friend or a loved one is very hard, but it sometimes makes us look at what we have and appreciate even more. My condolences to the families. God Bless!

    Gabriels first Buck

My youngest son dropped his first buck yesterday morning. He's been looking foward to hunting deer all year. http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v310/cra...deerhunt018.jpg I know he's carp, but it doesn't matter to Gabe or me for that matter It's been a great year so far, I'll be heading for Kansas next week on an archery hunt.
