We drew out unit 16E first archery Elk. Yeah baby, first Elk tag ib six years. J....which elk tag did you draw? Both my sons drew out unit 22 deer. Gabriel drew the first hunt and tito drew the second.

"You better Billy" There's Coues deer up Little Walnut, Around Gomez Peak and remember your not that far from Bear Mountian . Yeah we had a dumb butt try to take credit for shooting a very large mule deer in Little Walnut. You know the guy that thinks he's the best hunter and knows everything about hunting. Been there done that type of guy. Well he brought the rack to work bragging about how he stalked it and made a 90 yard shot thru the heart. Come to find out he was busted for poaching that Buck in Little walnut. The buck was drinking water in a guys front yard, he drove by, saw it got out like most people do to take pictures, except this guy arrows it in the butt at 25 yards. The buck runs though everone back yard with an arrow stuck to his butt bleeding all over the place. This guy was seen launching scud missles at the buck trying to finish it off. He finally did kill the buck but by then the whole neighborhood had already called the fish cops. The guy got away for a few days until he was nabbed with the rack in his shed. What an idiot, the worst part about it he got away with just trespassing.

Unit 24...Yes there is some giants there because the locals feed them. No chance in being able to hunt them legally, all private land. Every year there are a few yahoos that poach the "tame" deer. Just take pictures

Desert Bull is correct. I've guided on a private ranch for two years now. We usually have a "public Hunter" in the ranch. The rancher has to allow access to his entire ranch. Don't hesitate to put in for antelope, the chances of taking a Booner is very good.

Shiras...you can tell by the color of the forehead, the ears and the body size. The color of the muledeer body on the top pic is very similar to the one my son took. Also the black coloration on the chest of the muledeer compared to a ghost. Here's a pic of my sons buck, notice the fore head compared to couesdeer pic on the bottom.
