My family and I usually camp on summit motorway, there is alot of illegal traffic through there. A few years ago border patrol had a helicopter flying in a canyon right behind our camp and there is constantly border patrol driving in and out. last year a few hunters in our group saw 30 illegals cross the border in one day and my dad and brother found a woman that they left behind with a broken ankle and no water they called the border patrol to come pick her up. Others in our group have seen and walked up on drug smugglers in that area too. If your looking to stay away from the illegal traffic I wouldn't recommend this area. We finally decided this year that things were getting too heated on the border so we decided to try our luck in 24a. good luck on your hunt. Thought i reconized you me and my family have huinted there off mnt summit for the last four years and i think even know where that buck in your avatar was taken.

length is more inportant then mass for elk i have learned and i have use that same thinking for deer too. if i have a long tined deer and a mass deer standing side by side ill take the long tines. and who knows maybe im wrong but thats wat i think

Never huinted there but i can help with a few questions. for camo all you need is good brake up like the max1 or something with a lot brake up. fires areas are usaully good areas (for me and family) with in a couple mounths small grass start to grow for us deer seem to love it. with seven years i belive that it would be a good place to look with alot of young (bush lookin) trees to bed in and to feed on. Alright for those who know that i shoot PSE yes im going back to mathews got a good deal on z7 and i need to sell off htese other bows to pay off tickets. so im selling them cheaper then most would. #1 a PSE bowmadness xl with 60 70 pound limbs currently set at 291/2 inch draw great bow. PSE sells it for 700 this one is two years old a mounth ago with some dings im selling it for 350 #2 Is a 2007 Mathews Conquest Apex with 50 60 pound limbs it comes with a true glow pin sight and trophy taker rest it has a black riser and camo limbs this is a 1000 dollar bow when brand new. Now in good condition they go for around 500 with one cam. Im selling it for 450 wtih two extra cams 30 and 27n (two cahnge draw) currently set 29 inches its an amazingly smooth shooting bow. #3 is an older parker buck shot with40 50 pound limbs this was my first "mans bow" it treated me great it comes with a true glow sight and basic prong rest. I couldnt tell you wat it would usually go for. but im sellin it for 125 $ good bow for woman or teenage son getting in to archery.
