ElkDeer, I have the October tag also. I spent some time in the Dragoons the other day and did not like the looks of all the roads in the area. I plan on backpacking into the Mule Mountains and spending the hunt looking at some new country. I will not be able to make it back down to do any more scouting because of my elk hunt but I will keep an eye out for you during the hunt.

Hey ElkDeer, are you going to look at the Mules or do you think you will stay up by Dragoon?

There are some bulls running behind my house in 7M and they are not doing much at all. In fact, they are off by themselves still even though there is a good sized herd of cows in the same area.

Hey Crazy, thanks for that picture. What is your opinion about Unit 27? Is that unit over rated for whitetail or is it one of the best in New Mexico. Sorry to butt in on your conversation but I was interested in your topic. Thanks.

Shiras, why would you want to shoot a diaper deer? Hunting whitetails is a religious experience, stay with the Coues!

Hey Benbrown, I did not realize that you are from SW New Mexico! I was just there yesterday looking around for my December hunt. Are you on one of the ranches there?

Thanks Keith. My wife and son have the Unit 21 hunt and that is a new unit for us. I got my 5th choice whitetail tag...Unit 30B in October, as well as a New Mexico tag in December. If you ever need any help in the Flag area or with some of the Southeastern Arizona whitetail units I might be able to help you out.
