I was wondering where he was also. I wanted to hear his views on the "Indian Reservation" discussion on this forum.

Coues in Rut in the Rain?
BRYCE CANYON replied to matthewp45's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
10-4 Desert Bull. We are going back if the creek don't rise. -
When I got a 5th choice Oct. 30B tag this year I almost did not hunt because of the units bad reputation. I ended up shooting a 95" buck and had a great time. I would go back again in a heartbeat. You can find nice deer in any unit.

Coues in Rut in the Rain?
BRYCE CANYON replied to matthewp45's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
Hey Josh, were those your tracks we saw coming out of Dugas road this morning? We gave it our best shot but decided we better get out while we could and we barely got out. I don't think the deer mind a little rain but when the wind was blowing like it was in Unit 21 this morning I think they brush up. -
Hey rabidApache, what do you think of the area around Black Rock and the back side of the Santa Teresa's? Thanks

Coues in 6B & 8 for December hunt?
BRYCE CANYON replied to AZJR's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
You cannot go wrong with Sycamore Canyon. If you come in from the 6B side check out Poison Pocket or LO Pocket. I have also seen deer on the edge of the canyon at Dorsey Spring and Kelsey Spring. It is very thick and you will have to find a place to sit where you can look off into the canyon. You will see the deer move in and out of small openings in the brush but be prepared to sit all day and glass. -

Nice buck! -
I do not know the unit real well but I have spent some time there. I have seen some nice bucks come out of an area called Red Bank which is southeast of Patagonia and sits right on the Arizona Trail. Also, the rolling hills west of Lochiel always looked good to me but I have not had a chance to do any glassing there.

Hey Josh, what part of New Mexico is 36 in?
-
Thanks for that info elkdeer. I think I will stick to the Dragoons also.
-
Thanks for that info Ben.

I passed through that area the other day on my way to New Mexico but I was a little further south of you. I had to sign in before crossing a ranch (I think it was San Bernardino). I did not have any problems on that road but I like to watch my back down there.

Buck Shot Out of My Yard!!!
BRYCE CANYON replied to CouesSlayer's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in New Mexico
Does New Mexico have "Metro" units like we do here in Arizona? That type of thing is always an issue here in Flagstaff. -
Hey Coueshunter, that e-mail address is not working for me.
