seems like someone said he died recently. i mighta dreamed it too. last i knew for sure he lived in young. north side of the little town some, on the east side of the road. there was sign advertising his guide service on the side of the road. last time i was there i don't recall seeing the sign tho. he did move to south america for some time and guided a lot of jag hunters. hunter wells went down there with him. and he did get in trouble up here. but he was a very good lion and bear hunter. so i'm up here in halifax nova scotia, eh. been here 2 weeks and it ain't been (or bean, that's how these guys say been) above freezin' in the whole time. don't get real cold, but it never gets warm. it's nice and sunny today, and about (or aboat) 20f. 30f is the warmest it's bean. snowed about 9 out of 14 days. not too much. aboat a foot, or 30 cm, one time. several inches some other times. this plant is aboat 100 feet from the ocean. seals and stuff in the harbor (or hawbuh). they say there is an occasional minke whale, but i ain't seen one yet. a live 2lb lobster (or lawbstuh) is about 12 bucks from a street vendor. they say they'll be down around 5 bucks when the weather gets better and catchin' em is easier. one o' the ol' pipefitters has a lobster boat and he's gonna let me be the cabin boy for a weekend, when the weather gets better. should be fun. i never lobstered before. milk is $7.50 a gallon and gas is only $1.26. but that's per litre. hopefully we'll still be here when the atlantic salmon start to run too. seen a few whitetail run right through the plantsite the other day. haven't got to do too much exploring yet, but did get out saturday for a few hours and droov about 60 kilometers outta town to some place called musquodoboit hawbuh. little lobster fishin' village. this is jungle forest when you get outta town. anyway, i'm still alive. busier than a one legged man in a butt kickin' contest. seen all about the big shooitin' in tucson. some o' these canuks are really big into gun control. but they play hockey. they say they don't like "violence" but beat others with sticks as a game. i see you knuckleheads ain't been fighting too much. maybe i'll try to keep up a little better so's as to maybe do some instigatin'. well, be good ya hosers, eh, Lark.

this ain't no trip, it's an adventure. hey jimmer, there is a guy that i have to interface with here a lot that talks just like the real jimmer negamanee. and i can understand him. man, it is cold here again this morning. this wet cold right next to the ocean really goes through your clothes. there's a buncha guys from new brunswick. most of em speak froggish tho. this is a pretty cool place. it's good to know that canada has rednecks and hillbillys too. later, eh.

what'd alla you knuckleheads get fer Christmas anyway? anything interesting? like some swaro's or a clapper or chia pet or inflatable sheep? any photos? this ol' cowboy's sweetheart done an' bought him a winchester model 12, 3 inch mag heavy duck gun. the original model 12, not the made in japan imitation. what a cool shotgun. we went to a dairy and shot pigeons to celebrate. i give my buddy a butt out tool. but i ain't gonna show the video of him usin' it. them guys at the emergency room really give him an odd look when they were' tryin' to take it out. Lark.

they did pretty good for a team that doesn't have anything that even resembles a quarter back. i can't believe pellini has such crap for quarterbacks still. i honestly think anybody on that team coulda completed more passes. there would 2 or 3 guys open on every pass and they'd chunk up some high widowmaker that if they caught it they'd get their ribs crushed. horrible. they were the huskies b!tch for sure in that game. Lark.

when you're already perfect, well, whaddaya do? i feel so left out this time o' year. Lark.

the president. didn't u of a have felipe calderon? it ain't that asu is all that cool, well it is sorta, but it is that u of a just really is a landfill. "dang ethel, the wind shore is a-blowin'!" "shut up clovis, that's jist u of a suckin' again".

good thing all the global warmin' is goin' on. it'd be 40 below. everything wet at the rancho neglecto froze last night. had over an inch of ice in a wheelbarrow. mudholes froze. water troughs all froze. my theremometer said 28 and it is on the side of the barn and i don't think it reads cold real well because the barn is a little warmer than the air. my boy said it was like -10 in ramah. chilly weather for sure. Lark.

heck yeah u of a is harder to get into. they have all them "special" entrance requirements, that slot limit on the SAT score, 250 lb minimum for coeds, can't have more than one eye that looks at what you're lookin' at at once, odd number of teeth, it is real hard to get into u of a. q. what is the difference in an appendix and a u of a coed? a. an appendix has a chance of being taken out at least once. Lark.

that's a heckuva stringer there. Lark.

so what's the deal? a couple months ago everbody was whinin' about we was gonna burn up. now we're gonna freeze. this is an interesting article. granted, we've only got about 2 weeks of winter measured up so far, but it has been a cold sob across the north of north America and europe. read this. http://www.dailystar.co.uk/news/view/16957...-in-1000-years/ i read a deal the other day about a prediction that a couple guys came up with. and these guys are the best at predicting the weather that there is. you don't hear much about em because they don't buy into this global warming crap. anyway, they say that the northern half of the northern hemisphere is going to go into a mini ice age in the next 50 years or so. i don't get it? record cold. record snow fall. but it's caused by global warming? i know one thing, i'm gonna be wantin' some o' that warmin' up stuff in nova scotia. oooo, i'm already gettin' a chill. study up this stuff guys, because it is the next big money grab comin' down road from dc. these guys like gore and all these other bastards have figgerd out a way to make money off it. and you get to pay for it. they ain't gonna quit making electricity. they ain't gonna quit making gas and diesel. all they're gonna do is raise the price and you get to pay for it. don't be a frog in boilin' pot. get interested and get informed. Lark.

my boys have swarovski 15x56s, zeiss 15x60s and kaibabs. and they have phenomenal 20/15 vision. they prefer the kaibabs over the swarovskis. but they think the old zeiss are a little better, mainly because of the bigger lenses and more light. my eyes ain't good enough anymore to have much of an opinion. when i get some big ones, it's gonna be the kaibabs. Lark.

that's better than where your nose it. c'mon lobster. i heard they have lobster spam in nova scotia. i can't wait. Lark.

if it wasn't for that whole SAT deal, casey woulda went to u of a. it wasn't what you think tho. he actually scored too high to go to u of a. they have a cut off there. sorta like a slot limit on carp. u of a stunk so bad they even made san antonio smell worse. but they did have one good thing come outta this game. they have their battle cry for next year. "REMEMBER THE ALAMO BOWL!". the second really bad masacre in san antonio. Lark.

there ain't many better sights than a kid's grin after shooting something. and then him and his ol' man both get one, well that just really makes it a good thing. luke might grow up and forget his anniversary and his ol' ladys birthday and his kids middle names and to get milk and bread on the way home, but he ain't never gonna forget that hunt. congratulations. Lark.
-
well, you made the best of your situation and shot some bucks. good job all around. congratulations. Lark.
-
what's the matter dan, you growin' soft? we usually was out huntin' in that. ya pansy. i have the a/c on right now. tryin' to get aclimated for halifax. call me about saturday, i might have a different opinion of the cold. Lark.

i have to admit that i don't know enough about "global warming" to make a lot of guesses on my own. but i can read. and the folks that scream it's happening don't have any credibility left because they've been caught llieing so many times and the guys that have credibility and real experience say things contrary to the liars. so i tend to listen to them and put some stock in what they say. but i do know a lot about electricity and generating and delivering it. from the coal pile to meter on your house, i've been involved in it for well over 30 years. and "anyone" that thinks we have enough "green" power to do anything is sadly either naive, ignorant or just plain stupid. there isn't enough wind or solar power in this country right now to make up for even one mediocre coal fired power plant. and there never will be. it's a joke. the wind doesn't blow all the time and when it does it doesn't blow at a constant rate and it is very hard to synch with the steady 60 cycles that real power plants make. the stuff they have to do to make it synch destroys their reliabillity and wreaks havoc with maintaining them. it's a lot to explain, but they aren't as reliable a yugo. and solar, well, in case you haven't noticed, it gets dark every night. the company i recently retired from just got done putting a solar setup on a school. covered it with panels. panels everywhere. it makes about 10% of the power they need to run the school. during the day, when the sun is shining. solar is pretty neat in small amounts. like to run a pump or pump jack or solar setup on a house that's off the grid. but you have to have a battery backup for after dark and it won't work for a lot of applications. can't even use it to run a hair dryer. but it's nice for lights and the tv and stuff. but on a large scale, forget it. it ain't happenin'. the best alternative is nuke power. cleaner than all other options, even the "green" stuff. and very reliable. and don't say chernobyl. every non-commie engineer and scientist that looked it called it a staionary bomb before they even built it. you have to do it right. all global warming is, is a way for politicians and shysters to seperate you from your money. they wanna add all these carbon charges to your power bill, auto fuel and electricity, and everyone thinks the oil and power companies have to pay it. guess what? they won't pay a dime, they just increase their fees and you pay it. smell the coffee, don't drink the koolaid. and dang, this is one cold winter. it's called "the weather". Lark.

i have a hard time just hittin' the floor. and it was on the carpet. did you ever hal shockey when he told jim he took a half a viagra before they left that morning? jim axed him why he would do that and hal said "so i don't pee on my shoes". Lark.
-
ain't that an oxymoron and a half? who thunk that up? i collect guns and have a few i seldom shoot. but i don't know any reason to collect farworks and not set em off. Lark.

they got b!tch slapped all over the field last night. man they looked bad. some of these bowl matchups are pretty questionable. what about uconn and oklahoma? uconn ain't even ranked, has 4 or 5 losses. oklahoma is gonna kill em. and i hate oklahoma. too bad they didn't let boise play em again. i kinda doubt that stoops will ever let that happen again tho. Lark.

it might start it up, i know i'm in the rut. my wife threw a fit when i peed on the floor and rolled in it awhile ago. women just don't understand guys sometimes. Lark.
