If they would twist the .264 a little faster so it would shoot long bullets it'd be better. I just shoot 100's outta my .264. Lark

I've killed lots of, I mean truck loads, of elk with about anything there is. Lightest was a .30/30. Heaviest was a .375 h&h. And everthing in between. Never had even one of em ax what bc the bullet was. Being a hunter and marksman means more than anything else. That being said, if I decided I had to have a new elk gun, it'd be a savage in .338 lapua. Got to witness some really incredible results with one last year. Wouldn't even look at anything else. Lark

Groovy lookin stuff. Looks kinda Roswellish. Lark

He is one man I would truly like to spend time with. These guys now with posse's, brush beaters, camera checkers, 400 fps bows, range finders, etc. don't have a clue what a hunter is. Fred Bear was "the" hunter. I kinda think he wouldn't be too happy with the direction the sport has taken. You're are really lucky to have actually spent time with him, Bill. Lark

2 old aluminum arrows with electrical tape around em about 2 inches from nock end. Fold em out, shoot. Fold em up, put em in your back pocket. My kids killed bunchs stuff usin em. Lark

Fine work. No posse. No jillion dollar tag. A guy with a bow on a hunt with a buncha other hunters in the field. That is one helluva buck. Excellent accomplishment. Lark.

Used to be a place between Boyce Thompson arboretum and superior that had a u dig Apache tear place. There is a place in the gila valley that we used to find a lot of what we thought were Apache tears. They were fairly round, maybe as big as an inch in diameter, usually smaller and very rough and if you held em up to the sun, light came through em. Found hundreds over the years. My dad had a bucket full. My dad found out later that they were extraterrestrial. Some kinda meteorite glass. Look a lot like obsidian if polished. Ever once in awhile I'll wander around there and still find a couple. There is a lot of obsidian along the state line going toward mule creek nm. Creek beds are loaded with it. Lark

From what I've seen, these guys ain't the best artists and they also seemed to embellish their stuff a bunch. If folks did it today we'd call it graffiti. Case in point, I've seen dozens of stick figgers people whittled into rocks with weiners on em. Most of em past their knees. I think they were adding a little. Might be the same with this. Only 2 things I ever saw that really looked what they were meant to be was a quail and a mountain lion. They were quite good and both are painted, not scratched, on the roof of a small cave. Lark

I hate you too. Lark -
Maybe da Vinci painted it and they can make a movie about it's hidden meaning. Lark

Man, I would give up my secret to bein' so good lookin' and smart for 4 or 5 decent rains his spring. I haven't even hunted quail for about 10 years because of the lack of birds, trying to save some for when it does rain. The desert is kinda green right now. See quite a few poppies in some places. Might be a great year for cactus flowers. Especially chollas, claret cups and hedgehogs. But I don't think its enough to support a good quail hatch yet. Dang, I like hunt quail. And then have quail, biscuits and gravy. Lark.

I don't know which one I hate most. Monster or bud light. I don't care how much you drink. Kill yourself anyway you want. But I'm sick and tired of the @$$holes that drink it that think the roads need to be paved with the cans. After deer season every year the roads here are littered with cans from the jackasses that think it's ok to chunk em out the window. And 90% are monster or bud light. Lark

This scared me so bad I couldn't sleep. Never realized that there were man killer 35 pound pigs out there. So me and my 5 year old grandson roped the herd living in the orchard and he filed their tusks off round with a hoof rasp. Now I'm not so traumatized. Next thing is to rope all the maneater tom turkeys and cut off their spurs. Lark -
I think it's a nontypical "eastern" whitetail cave deer. Lark
