  1. new brass is nice and shiny. you still hafta check the overal length tho. had to trim a lotta new brass at times. all in all, i can't think of any real benefit to use once fired, unless you just hafta stuff that's just neck sized. i prefer my ammo full length resized. Lark.

    WTS remington 788 .308 $350.00 SOLD !!!!!

will somebody please buy this? i've bought 3 guns off here in the past few weeks. somebody elses turn. 788's are an extremely accurate, simple, rifle. it's a shame they quit makin' em. This is a real reasonable price too. be a great beginning to a custom hard core hunters rifle. Lark.

    Vortex scope??

i own every kinda scope known to man, and a few that ain't. never had problems with a leupold and their warranty is just as good. sent em one literally in pieces once, and a bunch of pieces too. sent it back better than new. have a couple of vortex scopes and several binoculars, no problems, clear, all that, but i like the American made Leupold things best. never had one fog up or lose focus or be hard to zero. great optics, especially if you get the varix3 or above. just got a varix3 30mm 4.5-14x40 with the side focus the other day. going on my new .375 h&h. it is one fine scope. Macho B in the news

i don't know if the loss of the one and only jag is such a bad deal. they are one cool animal, but jags are the next tool they're gonna use to pry us off the land. even tho we have never had more than an extremely small transient population. they aren't a desert animal. they are a swamp and jungle dweller. the thing that should yank everbodys chain is the fact that badge packers that have the authority to ruin your life if you do something wrong, intentional or not, can intentionally commit multiple misdemeanors and felonies, with no consequence, and they are still certified and have authority over law abiding citizens that would never dream of such a stupid venture. poor decisions, especially when they lie and use deceipt to cover it up, should have hard consequences. they never do, when it comes to the animal cops. i go back to the sparrow. the kid that shot the sparrow had to go through more than this stupid liar. only guy that suffered much was the moron trapper. seems like the azgfd officer mighta got fired. bet she's working again doing the same thing now tho. Lark.

    Macho B in the news

shouldn't surprise anybody. this thing was a fiasco from the get go. an azgfd warden, usfw folks and some broad that worked for some jag hugger group conspired to do the whole thing. they actually snuck into the Az sonora desert museum and stold jag crap to bait the trap with. then conned some moron into setting the snare, all under the guise of doing a bear survey. this one idiot woman is just one of a buncha folks that shoulda been prosecuted. the cover up went to the top of the azgfd and the usfw. evidence was destroyed and tampered with. folks told to dummy up. apparantly that's the modus of our animal law enforcement. when wardens can do things that would get joe hunter a trip to the pokey and loss of license for 5 years, with no penalty and then they get a $100k bonus, or other wardends can use their phoney ID to embezzle money, guys can steal lynx fur to dummy up results on their endangered species study, and then get promotions over it, then this shouldn't be any kinda controversy. not to mention having guys fly in with helicopters to dart wolves and try to fly em back out before the landowner saw it, or letting wolf lovers screw up elk hunts, etc. this is the way it is i guess. just don't shoot a sparrow by golly. they will prosecute that. Lark.

    Baltimore Rioters

personally, i'm glad they filed charges for something. i think they've overcharged and the actions of the city attorney when she made her stupid talk about wanting to get justice for a buncha real vague stuff weakened her case greatly and strengthened the cop's case. but when cops arrest you, from that instant on they are responsible for your welfare. that's the way it is. they have to feed you, keep you warm, keep you safe, even from yourself. they failed real miserable in that department. don't know or really care what happened, but it shouldn't have happened. period. and if you guys think this riot crap is about freddie gray, think again. all he is, is the tool that's being used to push about 15 commie agendas. he was a petty criminal that is now a martyr and a saint. same with trayvon and that thug in ferguson. how's that happen? rev al and rev jesse will swoop in and make some money, they always do. a few politicians can argue about callin' thugs, thugs, etc. but the real deal is it's an opportuinty for these commie outfits to cause more BS. there were riots all over the country because of this. NY, denver, LA, altlanta, bunches of places. you think the folks there care? hel l no. you have a buncha literal commies that want to bring the US down from within, and this is one of their methods. come in like buzzards and incite people to act stupid. there was a gigantic effort through texting and other forms of media to incite and organize this crap. and it's coming to a neighborhood near you soon. Lark.

    Baltimore Rioters

there are a lotta blacks involved, but i sure see a lotta white folks throwing rocks too, and there are also several bus loads of acorn, seacus, communists, anarchists, alinsky-ites and various other white community organizer puke sacks that were trucked in there with bull horns and other junk that are inciting most of this crap. this ain't just a black thing. this is a buncha out and out communists using this as a way to trash America even more. If you wanna blame someone, blame that 1/2 white guy in the white house that has drug everything in the mud. that's where it all starts. Lark.

    Baltimore Rioters

so far, she's about the only person i've seen in this whole fiasco that has shown some sense and taken care of what she can take care of in this idiotfest. every person out there acting stupid has a mother. if they all took care of business like she did this thing would be over. Lark.
  13. anything but the ballistic tip. the other 3 should work well. i shoot nothing but 165 gr btsp hornady interloks outta my .300's. seems to do fine. i wouldn't use ballistic tips on an elk. not a fan at all of copper bullets either. Lark.

You tell me, how timely is this rain?

a big old bull with good genes is usually gonna grow big antlers. a lot of water can sure help tho it seems. some years back there were several years in the white mountains with poor rain and there were a lotta bulls with weak 5th and 6th points. but i think a good wet winter and an abundance of good feed have a lot more to do with exceptional antler growth than any thing else, other than genes. an inferior bull ain't ever grow much for horns. one with good genes in a good year can get really massive. that's what we're seeing right now in the wallow fire area. all the wheat and barley they planted has seemed to really help the antlers excell. but in my opinion, this little bit of rain isn't gonna make or break this year. the past few years and what it has done to the genes of the elk has more to do with big antlers than one good rain in april. and there ain't ever a bad time for rain in Az and there ain't ever been a year i would turn down an elk tag in Az either. leufeaux scopes

a guy i'm working with found a couple "leupold" scopes for a good price on facebook. we called the guy and made the deal. i was about to send the money order when my son called and said to be sure they weren't counterfeit. guess a year or so back a buncha cheap chinese crap knockoffs that look real authentic hit our shores. checked into some more and sure enough these were counterfeit. researched it some more and there are quite a few out there. in a gold box that says leupold. has the leupold insignias all over em. but there are several tell tale ways to figger out what's what. anyway, if you see a good price on a leupold, check it out. i almost chunked a good sized piece a o' cash in the trash. beware and be vigilant. Lark.

    Best Antelope decoys?

i know some fellers who've had good success with the cow-blind deal. also seen em on tv using horses with great success. i think it mainly depends on the mood of the goat. might try cutting down a real brushy cedar bush and walking slow behind it too. Lark.

Lark.

    Turkeys and rain?

rain or snow? big deal. you have a tag, go huntin'. the one variable you can't control when you're hunting is weather. make the best of it, at least you ain't at work. and don't ever complain about anything wet in Az. we always need water. have fun, eat beans and spam, fart a lot and shoot some gobblers. show us the photos. Lark.
