That's what I thought. They're easy to turn loose if ya shoot em first. Lark

You can hunt. You just can't use a gun, bow, spear, knife, atlatl, rock, stick, etc. and you can't kill anything. Lark

Everyone should print that list off and hang it where you see it often. Az was very close to the same thing. Wiers and the hamberlins tried really hard to slide this through with nobody having a clue, including the azgfd, that it was going on. Remember their names and cuss them grossly. and remember hb 2072. Because they will try again. This time they'll have the azgfd and some of their other "establishment" buddies in the bag before they start. These guys and their toadys are the worst enemy Az outdoors people have ever faced. Never let up on the hatred that these people deserve. Lark

Didn't take long. One of the slickest rifles ever made. When they first advertised them in late '71 my dad went to Talley and sons and ordered one in .22 mag. He got the 2nd one in the gila valley. Irvin kept the first one. He shot that thing a bunch. It rode around in his pickup with the barrel on the transmission hump so much the muzzle of the barrel is worn off at an angle. My son has it now. I have one of the really early ones too. Shot all kinda a stuff with it. Great rifles. Lark

Generally a new stock won't show much change, if any, in target accuracy. Where synthetic stocks can help is in adverse weather and temperature. The synthetic stocks supposedly wont warp as much as wood can with humidity and temp changes. As long as a wood stock is correctly bedded and floated, I've never had problems with one. Unless there is a style you really want,I'd shoot this one before I spent $ on a new one. In Az, we seldom have weather that's going to change zero because of the stock. Lark

They're trying to use the same racketeering laws against oil and coal that Clinton did when held up tobacco. It's just a way to get money out of the deal. Like everything in dc. Couldn't care less about thd environment of people. Just get more money to pay guys that are already rich. Another reason we need to clean out dc. Lark -
Who would you rather go hunting with? Why? Lark Trump Rubio Kasich Cruz Hitlery Sanders

You're a denier too? Man that's the trifecta there. Lark -
Poor guy, a cruz and who of a fan. Have you thought of counselling? Some insurance plans will pay for it. You just ain't got no luck. The bushs own cruz. That may not be that bad a deal, but he does come with the little eyelets already installed in his limbs for the puppet strings to be attached. You'll come to the Trump side before it's over. You won't vote for hitlery and that's gonna be your only other choice when it over. Lark

I've burnt up several .264 barrels over the years. My favorite hot rod round. Some years ago I started just shooting 100 gr hornadys. Really like the laser beam straight path to the critters. Really like that rifle. Must be the injun blood, I like them bright colors. Lark

Oh yeah. Same hunt, same rifle. Woman had wounded a spike with one of the myriad of 6.5's that are out there. (And I'm a real fan of the .264 mag, so I'm not caliber biased) Seems like it was a 6.5-284 or 260 rem, all set up for long range. Don't know the bc, but it was a female, so it don't count. Anyway, she hit it and it laid down. Kept shooting. Strong crosswind. Couldn't even tell where the bullets were hitting. About Outta ammo. They called us and we were close. Packed the rifle to her. Shot once. Dead elk. Seems like it was around 400 yards. Maybe it was a fluke? Probly was because all the pro's say they're no good. But it impressed me. But what do I know. The guy that started this wanted to know about a 300 win mag or 300 rum. 2 cartridges I happen to have a lotta experience with. My .300 win, Farkiller, is legendary and has taken several dozen elk. I really like the rum too. Killed a bull at almost 800 with my son's Christensen. Also shot a muley the same year at almost 700, but it was running. Excellent long range round in a good rifle. But if I was buying a new elk rifle, after what I witnessed with just 2 shots this past season, it'd be a lapua. Lark

Elk go where the feed is. Cold doesn't seem to be much of a bother. Just feed. There is no set schedule. Elk herds move, always, a lot, continually, etc. saw some at over 9000 ft Tuesday. Bulls, especially big old ones, are on their own agenda and don't do much that allows ya to figger em out. Just hafta put in the time and effort and find em. And don't tell anybuddy where they are. Well, the one I'm familiar with didn't use 100 grains. But who's counting. Lark

Only the guys with big bore rifles have Vienna sausages. At least according to stompy. Lark

This past season I saw a really big bull get dropped in his tracks like he'd been head shot at almost 700 yards with a lapua. Only it was all lungs and organs. No spine. Killed him like a brain shot. Hit the ground, rolled over and crushed a dead piñon. That's why I said if I was gonna get a new elk gun it'd be a Lapua. Seen a couple hundred Bulls killed over the years with any kinda cartridge there is. That was the most impressive thing I've ever seen. Whine all ya want about too big. When you're elk hunting, putting them down right there is real important. The lapua does that. Guy axed what kinda rifle to get. In my opinion, get a .338 lapua. I don't give a $h!t what the bc is and neither did the elk. He just knew he was all the sudden in Valhalla. One more time, and I have some experience with elk, if I was gonna get a new elk rifle, it'd be a lapua. Probly a savage. That or I'd call western precision and have Brent make me one. Piss on bc and any other number you can write on paper. The lapua works. It doesn't weigh a ton. It doesn't use 100 grains of powder. They make all kinds a good bullets for it. It's real powerful stuff for elk. Lark

I kinda think that ain't obamas agenda. He'd take our guns today if he could. And has said as much many times. So will hitlery. She is worse. Lark -
So that's what this is about. A weaner/caliber deal. Nothing to do with bc at all. I said if I was gonna get a new elk rifle it'd be a lapua and you don't like big guns. Now I see. Took me awhile. I guess when I used my .375 for deer and elk this year I was way outta line. So much for free agency. I'm ordering a lapua tomorrow and I'm gonna put high bc kill photos all over this site. Are you really Marco Rubio? Infatuated with weaners? Is there a weaner:caliber chart so a guy knows what kinda rifle he can have if his weaner is a certain size? Man, there is so much to know now. I take it back. In all my years o' shootin', I never figgerd that one out. From now on I ain't never axin' nobody what kinda gun they shoot because I'm afraid they'll see me trying to get a look at their groinal bulge, or lack of it. I guess I can't never use nothin' but a .22 from now on. Lark
