Trout spawn like crazy in lakes. They just don't hatch. Rainbows spawn in the spring time. Browns and brooks in late fall. I've seen crescent lake look like a hatchery at the dam, with giant brooks. Caught huge spawning rainbows in big lake and crescent a buncha times. Some BIG Browns outta hawley in spring and fall. Lark.

this time of year bears are trying to gain weight, and could be fairly close to where they want to den up. as it gets colder they'll start building a bed and stuff and hang around close to their den until the daylight hours get short enough that they hole up for the winter. right now, food is the thing to look for. find a place where you can see a lot of country where there is a lotta food and glass the heck out of it. I always use hornady interlocks. Never had a problem with one. Almost always wad up under the hide on the off side. Never come apart. And cost less than half of what they get for "premium" bullets. Lark.
