Where am I wrong? I hunt out of Az every year. I never take the meat or head to anyone where I shot it. Always take care of it myself. And tell me why cwd is magically eliminated if you take it to someone with a license? If it has cwd, it has cwd. Period. Taking it to a licensed person doesn't change that. Then if it does have it, there is a chance of all the meat its hanging next to getting contaminated. Butchers don't clean saws and grinders and knives between every animal. The excuse for the law is to stop cwd in the herd. This isn't going to help that one bit. Cwd can just occur. It's amazing how little is known about it. But now if one has cwd and gets mixed in with everyone else's meat you can end up with contaminated meat that wasn't to start with. This law is pure bull$h!t. Cwd isn't new. It's been around forever. Anyone with even a little smarts is qualified to take care of their own stuff and do a good, clean sanitary job. It's much easier for a guy to end up with a better product doing it himself than by hanging your meat with who-knows-what in a locker. Cwd is in the brain and spinal column. Pretty easy to work around. Don't need a license for that. Lark

What I find as pure bs is that if you are forced to pay a 'licensed' taxi or butcher it magically makes cwd go away. Just like global warming, organic food, taxes, etc., the more you have to pay, the safer it is, according to the gov't and lobbiests. And folks that have been taking care of themselves since birth are suddenly unqualified. Sounds to me like taxidermists and meat processors cut a fat hog on this one. Lark.

I don't give a dam what they say. I'm not taking my meat or head to a 'licensed' guy. Been taking care of it myself over 50 years. Nobody is more qualified or experienced than I am. Lark

There have been times that the fbi has done the quantico deal on some poaching cases. Came back they have the same traits as serial killers like bundy and gacy. Scary people. Lark.

Don't even know how to comment on this. Stupid @$$:;0!32 ¥£%#!?+^ jerks. Deer deserve better than that. Took about 1/3 of the meat. Kinda disturbing. Lark.

I see it benefitting 2 groups of folks while rippin off the guys that pay all the bills, hunters. And for no good reason, biological or otherwise. So if I kill a buck 10 feet in new mex I hafta pay a dollar a pound to some joker that won't do near as good a job as I will. And before I can keep the rack or skull I hafta pay some other joker because he's 'licensed'? I don't think so scooter. Lark

its a .300 ultra set up to shoot 1000 yds. Reduced loads don't work out in that equation. She was shooting steep uphill. Absolutely the easiest way to get scoped. I'm impressed she could shake it off and shoot again. Really a great buck. Lark.

So now it's illegal to process your own meat if you kill it in another state? Who are the idiots that thought up that one? Did it have any input from the "licensed" meat processors? They can go to hel l. I'm still gonna cut up my own. Lark

I hate you. I said it was over 500 yds. You'd hafta shoot a 7-08, go find the bullet and shoot it again a couple times to go that far. Lark

only .270 wsm i've ever tinkerd with was extremely accurate with all weights. it was a tikka. hot barrels can be hard to deal with. sounds to me like it's shoots fairly good till the barrel gets hot. might check your action screws, trigger pull, lock time. etc. lotsa variables to take into account. you can get a new rifle for what a good barrel costs to have installed. personally, i never got the whole short mag deal. i kinda like the .270 wsm, because it is a real hot rod and shoots a fair bit faster than a .270 win. none of the other ones made any sense. "they're just like a regular magnum, only less!!" the .300 is a little better than an '06, but you can do a lot more with a .300 win mag or weatherby or rum. same with the 7mm wsm. there are other 7mm's that have a lot more goin' for em. i think the .284 win was way before it's time and would love to have a good bolt rifle in that caliber. but the 6.5-284 doesn't appeal to me. why not get a .264 win with a little quick twist in the barrel and use the high bc bullets in it? anyway, i don't see a .300 wsm as being much of an improvement. Lark.

everbody i know that ever called in a lion was using a jackrabbit call. there ain't a nickels difference in the way rabbit, fawn, woodepecker, blue jay, etc sound anyway. the trick to calling in a lion is to be where a hungry lion is. Lark
