  1. you guys ever hear the full story on this deal? that is bullwidgeon in the photos. the bear died of a self inflicted wound. he licked his butt raw and bled to death, tryin' to get the taste outta his mouth. Lark.

    hunter harassment law

i'm real sure there are federal laws, and i'm thinking state laws, already, that cover this. no one can legally harrass anyone who is legally hunting or fishing. but they seldom enforce it. some years back they threw some folks in the poky for interfering with a yellowstone buffalo migration hunt. but only after it got to where they couldn't even hunt. when we had the trouble in 27, it was illegal. but nobody cared. best thing is to handle it yourself i guess. Lark.

    Paperweight

someone sent it to me a couple days ago. real bizzare for sure. schools won't let ya have a nail clipper, but they let this joker have a bomb on his desk. guess he'll be knowed as lefty from now on. Lark.

    Desert Mule Deer Range

i know ya'll will holler, but big desert muleys are the hardest animal to hunt i've ever come across. i mean real desert deer. and big ones. they will flat go underground sometimes it seems. this past season i worked my butt off after 2 different ones. never even got a glimpse of em. they were never together, but came into the same few waterholes at night. only time i ever wished i had a trail camera. they'd tease me with tracks ever 3 or 4 days around the waterholes. but i could never find em. bout wore the shoes out on my horse and did completely wear out a good pair o' nikes in 10 days. and we all know that i'm the best hunter in the world. then around the first of the year my ol' man saw em both. starting to look for does i assume. at least i know they'll probly be there next year. as far as their range, i've seen bucks a good miles from where i saw em before. maybe farther. where i hunt, there is always a big migration, depending of feed, weather, rut, and i imagine whatever the mood o' the deer happen to be. Lark.

    Arizona's 10% cap

i live in Az. and hunt new mex a lot and it works for me. whatever any state wants to do, i'll live with it. it's state's rights. just remember one thing, we can thank uso for all this. in both states. and when the other states get even more restrictive, it will all be because of the uso suit. the whole thing stinks, but what is any state supposed to do? whatever the outcome tho, good luck to ya. i love new mex. Lark.

dang, i got another bite. hey tex, if ya ain't a cop or a podunk sherrif, what are ya? bp's ain't cops? no wonder ya can't catch nobody. what's a podunk anyway? another brokeback term maybe? why can't ya arrest alla them "immigrants" that hang out by my house? this is too easy. Lark.
  10. i have some great photos of my kids. this one really brought a tear to my eye. good job dad. Lark.
  11. thanks for the headsup and the info Amanda. so the house and senate voted 20-9 and 47-8, aye. the Az. sportsman population is probably 80% in favor of this (and i would bet a lot, that it's higher than that) and our esteemed comission is against it? and they're gonna try to get mr. napalitano to veto it? man, it is really time for a total overhaul of the azgfd. this is real disturbing. if they pull this off, everyone really needs to get into this. maybe we oughta have a march downtown. really. Lark.

this is like fishin' for blue gills. easy to hook, they fight like heck for their size, but they're still just little fish. so now i'm a midget, anti American, illegal alien sympathizer. did ya forget nazt and commie? dang, now i'm gettin' a complex. hey tex, if ya wanna make yer quota for the month, just go to ellsworth and ocotillo. guarantee ya you'll fill yer stringer there. if i can find em, why can't you? all ya need for bait is a landscaper truck. and the movie star deal, i just heard that you and dot were stuntmen in brokeback mt, was all that was about. this is fun ain't it. maybe if tex was out on the beat instead o' playin' on the computer we wouldn't have such a illegal alien problem. guess they learned to shy away from the bait. whattaya bait em in withanyway? 3rd grade. now that's funny right there, i don't care who ya are. lemee see, when was i in the 3rd grade? dang that was a long time ago. it amazes me at how folks think it's ok to make personall attacks and then always get mad if ya gig em back a little. hey tex and dot, with them classic good looks o' yours, how come ya quit the movies? well, it's time to go home. i gotta horse to shoe. been fun. i'll be back tomorrow. later dudes, Lark.

  16. i can see it now, "hey Freddy, what ya gonna use on this shot? 5 iron? 3 wood? wedge?" freddy replies "naw, hand my the 12 guage". rabid bobcats on a golf course. now that's a hazard ya don't see everday. Lark.

    hunter harassment law

i don't think there will ever be any enforcement. just another law, like the border laws, that won't be enforced. that's why i posted the article. a few years ago we were elk hunting under the rim in 27. every morning a bunch of the wolf "professionals" would walk off some of the trails and shoot guns and set of firecrackers to get the elk runnin'. these were federal employees. i reported it to a coule azgfd rabbit pigs and they just laughed a little. after i got real mad they just rode away. cops enforce what's easy. there's too many laws now. adding some more won't do anything unless there is enforcement behind it. Lark.

ain't no sense arguin' with a texan. 'specially an ex-texan. sorta reminds of these illegal aliens talkin' about how good it is in mexico. just keep thinkin' that i'm a sawed off little feller. fine with me. and the correct term is napoleonic complex. i think napoleon syndrome is a band in austin. easy to see how you'd get em "corn"fused. but if yer gonna live here, learn the language. if sittin' in a stand over a cornhole is the only way you can hunt, well have at it. far be it from me to keep a dude from doin' what he can do. but ya oughta see why other folks prefer to actually hunt. it's a lot more fun. too hard to explain. just try it. sittin' on a water hole or corn or anything like that is just too boring. i saw a tv show where some yankees were playin' video games and listening to music on their headphones while sittin' on corn. boy, that looked like fun. hunt how ya want. but don't try and convince me that you "have" to hunt over bait. anytime ya wanna come and try and keep up in the chollas, gimmee a holler. it'd be fun Lark.

quit using the word ethics. ya can't legislate. if it's legal, it's ethical. but i don't now, or ever will buy it, that you "have" to hunt over corn. it's a lazy way to do things. if you wanna hunt that way, fine. it's legal, therefore 'ethical', but don't tell me you 'can't' do it any other way. when you bait an animal in, you're using it's absolute weakest instinct against it. hunger. chunk out some corn on a fairly regular basis in the same place, and herbivors are gonna collect there. heck, punk some corn back into this impenetrable brush you talk about and then sneak in on it. make some kind of a hunt out of it. but get out on the ground and hunt. take a machete if you have too. but hunt. i guess them deer just live in the "senderos" because it's too thick for them too. don't shoot bears with their head in a garbage can. don't shoot high fence anything. and dang sure don't sit in a heated stand over a pile o' corn. at least don't do it and tell me you're hunting and that there is no other way. at least not if you're in any reasonable health. my ol' man is crowding 80. has to walk with a cane. sometimes 2 canes. he wouldn't be caught dead in a stand over corn. he hobbles off into a likely place and glasses. putts around in his pickup and glasses from all the places he knows he can see from. looks for tracks here and there. and usually always gets a deer. ya don't "have" to hunt over corn. somebody said Az. doesn't have any brush to compare with texas? that's funny. i could take you places that'd make you cry in 5 minutes. heck, they make me cry thinkin' about em, but i still go. every state has tough country. get in it and hunt it. look around. see what lives there. get the wind in your face and hunt. Lark.

huntin' over a cornflinger is just fine. if yer a woman or in a wheelchair. i don't care how thick the brush is in texas. it ain't as hard as bailin' off into the blue or off the mogollon after a big bull elk or a deer or whatever. oak brush so thick you have to swim through it. rockslides, cliffs, etc. folks hunt from stands over corn because they're lazy and it's legal. i've hunted and punched cows in cholla patches thicker than any mesquite patch texas has to offer. if you want to or have to do something bad enough, you'll tough up and do it. i've seen the "senderos", (which means "road where you drop the corn") and stuff in texas. i'd love to hunt country that easy. sticker patches and all. try trackin' a buck through a panther claw patch on the slopes of any mountain in southern Az. i don't think there is anything rougher to do. if you want to hunt over corn, fine. but don't say it's because you have to. Lark.

i think there must be two shroufe's. ain't no way that this guy is the one that runs the azgfd. the shroufe i know of spends too much time gettin' his spray tan to do any work. no wonder we ain't got any deer. he spends all his efforts on half a dozen jags and duck wetlands. both of which Az. ain't never had very many of and never will. wetlands in Az. ain't that a kick in the nads. i guess the one they tried to make outta prison sewer water at the springervill prison must be one of em. boy that one really turned out well. bet nobody even knows about it, because it failed so badly. that coulda the usfw tho. don't really know, but i never turn down a chance to start bad rumors about this guy. shroufe is a joke. hope he leaves before they try to "reintroduce" alaskan grizzlies or canadian lynx here. maybe this is a sign that he's gettin' ready to retire. give him a buncha awards on the way out. that's theway burro-crats do things. (remember, burro is mexican for jackass) and the sad thing about it, whoever they replace him with will probably be worse. look at the jokes mr. governor has put on the commission. and they are the ones that pick the new guy. Lark.
