Sheep hunt success in Northwest Arizona!

Only reason this thread was ever started was for jerrybaby to poke his finger in the eyes of the guys that made him look like just what he is. Cry all ya want about the ram. But not one of us would ever have a chance for a tag if he'd have succeeded. Lark

Does Working Out Help You Hunt Better?

Excercise is way over rated. Couple years ago I worked like crazy before the season. At least a couple weeks. My mule never noticed and still got me there at about the same speed. Hunt smarter, not harder. Lark

Early bull before archery in 27

If somebody said, 'here, take this u27 archery bull tag', right now, would you turn it down? Lark

What caliber of new rifle do I buy?

I would recomend getting a ford. Or maybe a dodge or Chevy. With the info and technology available, it doesn't really matter. After witnessing a couple shots on elk this year, If i was gonna get a new rifle, it'd be a savage in .338 lapua. Wouldn't even think of anything else. Bucks wind like crazy and hits like a log truck with no brakes. Lark

I know one thing for sure. If ya don't apply ya never get a tag. I just apply and forget about it until next year. I got drawn once. 21 years ago. Friend of mine got drawn 3 outta 4 years. No archery tags either. Just how it works. Lark

    Rain

Put down about an inch here so far. Everything says expect a lot more. We'll see. I hauled up a buncha wood to the porch, just in case they're right for a change. I wouldn't mind watching it snow for a day or so. Be great hunting when it clears. Lark

    Rain

anyone here have any good insight into the long range forecast for Az this winter? I hear about El Niño, but haven't read much about it this year. This is a great little storm we are having. I see the desert greening up real well. If we get a couple more, this could be a heck of a spring. Be a great year for poppies and other flowers. Hopefully there'll be enough snow to fill the lakes and regenerate springs and wells. Maybe we will have a decent quail hatch this year. We had a little over 26" in 2015 at the Rancho Neglecto. Only 19 in 2014. Hopefully even more this year. Anyway, this rain is really great. Lark

poor capn don. Nobody will call him so he can record it and then use it to say he was threatened. I'd call ya donny but I hafta ride a horse about a half mile to get service. Some of us ain't city boys. Besides its snowing today. I'd rather look for a lion track than talk to you. Or have the flu or cancer. But the main reason is I wouldn't waste time on a bootlicker who thinks that Az's own big game tag nazi is his best friend. You oughta look for different friends. weiers tried to screw every non millionaire sportsmen there is for $6100. Period. And you're ok with it. You comin' around here whining like a punk about how dedicated you are to your friends is sickening. Nobody cares. You ain't a tough guy. You dont scare anyone or have the respect of anyone that matters. Go tell jerrybaby how mean you were and how everyone is scared of you now because you told em how bad you are. I think I'll shoe a mule today. They're half jackass by birth, not by choice, like you are. ARRRRR! Commodore Lark Hubbard, Sheep wash navy.

I found a dime at qt Monday. Spent it yesterday in globe. The desiccant and chocolate syrup cans look like something a fire crew left. We found some K rations in an old burn once. Still good. Sat on a rock and ate em. Found lots of arrow heads over the years. One time I was walking down a trail with a little snow on it. There was a bear track in the snow and I was paying attention to em while walking. The snow ended and in one of the bear tracks in the mud was an arrowhead. If I hadn't been looking at the tracks I wouldn't have seen it. Lark

    Rain

Left QC today headed for the Rancho Neglecto. Queen creek canyon is rolling through superior. Looks like whitewater from a movie. Enough water it will make it into the valley. Devils canyon is the same. Farther east we went, less water. Still nice and wet. Mitchell peak has got a lot of snow since last weekend. Really wet here at the house. Rose peak looks real white. Exciting times for Az. Has the makin's of a great year. Lark

Oh man, I forgot about that whiner jerry baby cryin' like kindergartener because he didn't get any free gratis super bowl tickets. You think he wears a diaper? Killer, why's he just after me and you when there's gotta be at least 100,000 sportsmen that hate weiers guts? Does he really think it's just us? He didn't even include Joe. Oh well, all I gotta say is ARRRRR! Go swab the poop deck. Commodore Lark Hubbard.

    Rain

Oh boy. That is great news. I've intentionally quit shooting quail because of the dry spring weather and few birds. I think I'll buy a new shotgun to celebrate if this rain holds up. Quail, biscuits and gravy, I can't wait. Lark

ARRRRRR! The cap'n has speaked. Shiver me timbers. My name is Lark Hubbard. Anybody in eastern Az that hunts knows me. And knows where I live. Ax around. If weiers is your friend I feel sorry for you. That rat did his best to toropedo every non millionaire outdoorsmen in Az and every nonresident that tries to hunt Az. All on his way out because he couldn't run for reelection. All for $6100. That's all I know about him and all I want to know about him. That's enough. As far as turning a back on a friend? Hel l yes, if they cross the line. This guy pole vaulted across it and folks need to remember what he tried to do, forever. And never forgive him for what he did. Later, boot licker. Lark Hubbard.
