ebb, i kinda think this bill will stand. there were a buncha folks betting the employee sanctions law wouldn't hold up, but it did. o' course it was the same bunch that are saying the same thing about this bill. and the aclu ain't a law making body or a court. just a buncha liberal @$$holes that complain about everything. what floyd said has a lot of merit. when Rob Krentz died it pulled a lot of fence sitters into the fight. and it shut up a lotta the more vocal pro-illegal drum bangers because they knew it changed things too. i predict more bad stuff on the border. a lot more. the mexican outlaws are used to everyone just getting out of their way. i'm thinking there are gonna be a lot more confrontations. these mexican gangsters have been able to buy any kinda hit they want in mexico for years. when they get shut down at the border they're gonna send their killers north. i kinda think what happened to Rob Krents might have been something of that sort. anyway, if this bill becomes law it's gonna make it real difficult for law breakers from the south to live here. can you imagine what joe will do with it? and that lumberjack napalitano and obama can't do anything about it. they can cover the border and even keep the state law away from it but they can't keep Az cops from enforcing Az law in Az. and it will cause new mex and texas to do something similar because all the crap leaking into this state will head for them in a crap tidal wave. whatever, there have been some good comments here. thoughtfull stuff. our state needs thoughtfull action. we've had 35 years of revolving door governors, many of whom have been fighting to stay in the job and outta prison and to get elected, the entire time they were in office and too little attention has been paid to some real critical problems. this is one of them. and kyl and mcain haven't been much of a help. well, until lately, whey they finally realized that the vast majority of this state hated this crap and wasn't gonna re-elect em. stay on top of the issues. look real close to who and what you're voting for. see what kinda baggage folks bring with them to office. used to be we had some guys representing us in dc that actually cared about Az. all we have now is guys that care about getting re-elected. hope jane grows some and signs this. we need it and even more. pay attention fellers. this is gonna get intersting. remember si se pueda? well, we matter too. and we're legal voters. Student Walk Out

why worry about it? the kids that are for it want to stay in school, learn to do something beneficial and be a contributing member citizen. the kids that walked out are most likely gonna be fast food workers and minimum wage day labor anyway. and we gotta have cheeseburgers and car washers. it's just the circle of life. Trapper

i've never seen a lion lose a whole foot in a trap, but i've seen a lotta toes. also seen em caught by back feet several times. i've seen em that if they woulda got loose, they woulda lost their foot, if they didn't die from it. also know of at least one bear that lost his nuts in a trap. even seen the trap that still had his bag in it. that had to be one sad bear. i don't know it all about trappin' lions, but do have enough experience to know i'd never say that there was no way it could happen. one thing that could make me agree it didn't lose it in a trap tho is the fact that ya can't hardly legally trap a lion anymore. first off, "mexican" ain't a race, it's a nationality. i've seen irish and polish "illegal aliens". the polish dude was a real prize. name was juan potaznik. but they were mexicans because they were born there. mexico is as diverse as we are. i also don't understand all the religious tones applied here. this ain't about religion, it's about law. man's law. too bad we need laws, but we do. but they are worthless without enforcement. hopefully this bill will force cops to enforce the law. or allow em too, whatever the case is. i see now that the new mex gov wants jane to veto the 1070. i bet so. this is gonna turn new mex into a dang smugglers funnel. and texas. california already is and they aren't about to do anything that might be politically incorrect. might be correct, but correct is wrong in california. i see where former mesa police chief gascon is against it. he left mesa for san francisco. a declared sanctuary city. and he tried to make mesa one the entire he was there too. so no surpise there. and some police chief from connecticut is agianst it too. connecticut? now that's a stretch. jane best worry about Az. and if she wants to have a prayer of being elected (she wasn't elected in the first place) she best sign it. and the 70% of the Az. population that wants it best support it and not back up an inch. we have a real problem here. and a big part of the problem is that since a guy named jack williams was governor (1975) we haven't had a governor get elected, spend their entire time in office and either choose to not to run or not get re-elected. 35 years o' this crap. a guy name raul castro got elected in 75, after almost 2 years he was offered an ambassadorship somewhere and took it. this made a guy name wes bolin, the secretary of state, the gov. he died shortly after and that's how we got bruce babbit. he was gov for awhile and decided to run for president and on his way out the door signed, illegally, the first mlk holiday. the next election ev mecham won in a 3 way race. he got impeached and booted from office and that is how we got behive head rose mofford. she finally retired just before she petrified and fyfe symington won the election. then he got busted doing something illegal and was removed and we got propane jane hull. after her we got the lumberjack mr napalitano, a clinton/reno carpet bagger appointee to the fed court that stayed around. then he pulled the big runner and is now our homeland insecurity cheif and on the short list for the buckwheat and supreme court and that gave us the new jane. so for 35 years we've had one truck load o' crap after another that wasn't in it to do anything but improve their own lot. they've proved it by the crap they've pull. we need a governor that will get elected and stick around until the job is done and not be always looking for a better job. i guess if a guy wants to be gov of Az they need to run for sec of state. that seems to be main line to the office. from what i've seen so far, this buz guy looks the best to me. goddard is plum spooky. he'll give this state away to mexico. jane ain't the answer. especially if she won't sign this bill. she oughta do it while there are fire works goin' off behind her. i don't get any kinda warm feeling from dean martin or any of the other guys that have declared either. but jane best sign this and if she vetos it she needs to leave the state. Lark.

OUCH stiches, reminder to be carefull!

a guy shot me with a 7mm/08 and it made a wound about like that. i just used super glue and duct tape tho. twist them nails off dude. when ya get old like me ya can only get a couple in at a time before you gotta set his foot down and rest anyway. Lark.
  6. when mr napalitano accused us of being terrorists awhile back (remember, if you are a christian, own a gun, are a vet, aren't a homo, are white, conservative in anyway) i writ him an email with my name and address and all that on it and told him to put on the top of the list, so that worthog already has my info anyway. Lark.
  7. jane signed the new concealed weapon bill. a lot of folks figgerd she'd just let if become law without her signature. said it starts 90 days after they recess. does anyone know what the particulars are? tried to find it on thenet but never found anything definitive. just generalized stuff. later, Lark.
  8. wonder how much co2 and other junk the volcano it iceland is dumping into the atmosphere? can't even land planes in europe right now the sky is so dark. but i'm sure it doesn't have anything to do with "global warming". it has to be them cow farts and weed blowers. no way a natural phenomenon could have anything to do with the crap these guys spew. if nature had anything to do with it algore couldn't make any money off it. Lark.

    IN THE NEWS

most lib politicians are borderline retarded. did you see the joker in DC the other day questioning a navy admiral about some island in the south pacific? he told the admiral that were too many people there and he was afraid the island was going to tip over and capsize. you get the same sort of stuff here. they know there is no intelligent arguement about enforcing the law so they come up with the first stupid thing that pops into their heads. i carry i.d. called a drivers license. looks sorta like the taxmaster brewer ain't gonna sign it tho. i doubt she'll veto it, but instead let it turn into law because of inaction on her part. looks sorta like she's gonna do the same thing with the concealed weapon bill too. Lark.

    Janet Napalitano

we need a husky, man voiced lumberjack with skunk hair in the supreme court. look at all the minorities she will cover for. woman, man, transgender, homosexual, dumbass, idiot, etc. that's what it's all about. doesn't matter if they know anything, just as long they can claim to be more than one downtrodden group. we have our wise old latina. now we can have a stupid woman that likes to talk like a guy. besides, she thinks all vets and christians are potential terrorists and the system worked perfectly when they caught the diaper bomber. how can you not like reasoning like that? Lark.

    Enviro Wackos at it again

first off, there has "NEVER" been more than a token transient population of jags in the U.S.. even in the northern half of mexico. jags are an animal of the tropics that live in and around water, jungles and swamps. they are not an arid country animal and the ones we have here are on the extreme fringe of their habitat. to try to establish a larger population would be against nature itself. they are about the coolest animal there is, but it will just be a waste of time, effort and money to make any kind of sanctuary for them and it will be a tremendous hardship on folks that are already having a hard time making a living on land that the feds have basically given to mexico. the main reason they didn't try to establish the wolf/dog population in their more traditional habitat is because there are vast tracts of private land that they couldn't be protected on. the jag program will encounter the same problems. and if you think huggers are the only ones behind this, think again. there are a couple so called sportsmen that have a lot to do with it too. and if it means any money at all to the azgfd, they'll jump on it too. this ain't a good deal and anyone who thinks it is oughta do the "obama voter slug yourself in the face ever morning" deal. we just as well try to bring back the wooly mammoth. there were a lot more of them here than there have ever been jags. my great uncle was a legendary gov't trapper. him and my grandad both trapped the heck out of Az. from the very early part of the 1900's. in the wildlest and most remote parts of the country. my uncle caught one jag. only one he ever saw. there have never been more than a few here. they thrive around the equator in the jungles and rain forests. i don't see a lot of that kinda country in Az. this will just be another wedge to use to force people who use the land from it. hunters, anglers, cowboys, farmers, loggers, anyone who uses the land contrary to how the liberal elite think it should be used. and the success of the "program" is never the recovery of the so called endangered species. the last thing they ever want is that because then they lose the control. the control is the goal. push folks into towns and away from the land. anyone who is for this is dangerous to our liberty. because the goal of the programs are to take it away. this past situation with macho b is a prime example of the kind of things that will happen. their were a lot of folks on here who were in very vocall support of the biologist that snared him. but then it came out that he did so contrary to what he had been told to do and then lied about it and him and some hugger who worked for some jag recovery group conspired to cover up the lie and even hid, covered up, altered and phonied the evidence. this is how these kinda folks work. truth doesn't matter. this is a bad thing and folks need to make themselve very aware of what is taking place. Lark.

    Savage 24

now you're talking rifles, not ammo. the have a little longer throat to take tha longer bullet that m-16's use. m-16's also have a real fast twist to stabilize the the longer bullet. with different powders you can probably overload a .223 without a compressed load. nato rounds are made to shoot people in a full auto. they have FMJ bullets that are intended to make a cleaner wound and shoot bullets that won't shoot accuratley in most .223's. but they have the same case and case capacity. i can't see where you could load one hot enough to harm a bolt action. anyone know what the pressure reading actually are?
  14. .270

    Savage 24

i've looked at everything i can find and don't see anything about the 5.56 being loaded hotter. with the way liability is dealt with by attorneys, i can't see anyway this is gonna be the case. i have over a dozen reloading manuals, don't see anything about this in any of them. i load the heck outta my .223. the more powder i cram in it, the better it shoots. compressed loads every time. never even seen a poochy primer. i don't shoot 75 grain bullets, like most m-16's, but i don't see anyway a 5.56 nato load is gonna put out more pressure than a .223. no rumors now. i wanna know what the deal is. as far as the gun popping open, it's gotta be the lock. shotguns don't have near the pressure as a rifle. may have more recoil, but that is completely different than pressure. the top barrel is always the rifle on those savages, that could have something to do with it, but it still has to be a problem with the lock. be careful. Lark.

    Savage 24

most military .223 (5.56 nato) shoot a larger bullet and require a lot quicker twist in the barrel than most .223's have and the larger bullet won't hit worth a darn, but i can't see where a nato round would build up really high pressure. a .223 is a pretty small case and isn't known for making a lot of pressure. anybody else got any info on this? i'd never heard anything like this before. i shoot a .223 a lot and load hundreds of them every year and would like to know about this. Lark.
  16. .270

    Savage 24

why can't you use nato rounds in it? the .223 rem and 5.56 nato are the exact same round. only difference might be crimped primers in the nato, but that shouldn't have any bearing on anything. sometimes you can see some excessive pressures when reloading military brass with the same load as factory brass because the military brass is thicker, having a tighter powder chamber and it causes higher pressures with like loads, but i've never seen that in the .223. happens a lot with '06 brass tho. i'd say the lock is bad on your gun. might be why it was for sale. they made several lock styles on those over/unders, what style does yours have? Lark.
  17. i thought for sure this was gonna be bill when i first read it. i like the name of the town. happy easter. Lark. http://www.azcentral.com/offbeat/articles/...-bust02-ON.html

  19. only real men shoot .270's. and smart girls. everbody else are just pretenders. for the record, my new grandbaby is named Lark, but not after me. she named her after her dearly departed big sister, who was named after me. most o' you guys wish you was my kid anyway, so i'm purty sure most of ya would like to name your kids after me anyway. i gotta go. headed to town to buy my grandaughter her first rifle. a .270. wouldn't want her to be one o' "those" people. Lark.
  20. on the azgfd website it says you can no longer use a 7mm/08 to hunt in Az. said that under some conditions they would kill smaller animals but they didn't want the kind of people that owned em hunting in Az. said there was enough ammo for antis as it is without adding the stigma of wierdos with 7mm/08's in the woods. personally, i believe wholly in discrimination and bigotry so i'm all for it. some folks might disagree, but i don't know any o' "those" kinda people. Lark.
  21. this is the cousin of a very good friend. him and his dog were killed by a stinkin' mohow that he was trying to help yesterday. ya think it would be in the republic. all they have is stories about how sherrif joe is a racist because he's enforcing the law. WHY I WON'T GO TO MEXICO

the drug runners get their guns from the mexican army, that is in their pocket along with the cops. where the heck you think they get em? they gonna risk getting busted getting em across the border when they can just put in an order to the local federalli that they have on the payroll. Lark.

    25-06 For Elk

    i get it, it's april 1. Lark.
  25. redrabbit, i don't know the Krentz's. his cousin is a very close friend. not sure exaxtly where the ranch is. if you guys recall, a few years ago there was a big push to make all the mohows citizens and give em amnesty and all kindsa stuff and bush was all in favor of it and would have signed it. at first it was a shew in, because dumbocrats and republicans both wanted it. but there was such an uproar in the public with phone calls, emails, talk shows, etc that the guys that introduced the bill didn't even vote for it. they started the whole mess, defended it until the very end, and then for self preservation, i.e. votes, they backed off because they knew they wouldn't ever get re-elected. the guys that introduced it were named mcain and kyle. think about that when you vote. they both act like they are founders of the minute men now and don't want anyone to bring up what they tried to do. remember all that crap when you vote. mcain ain't from Az. he's a carpetbagger that left his paralyzed wife for the floozy daughter of an Az booze gangster that got his bud distributership by going to prison to keep kemper marley outta jail. he did get shot down, he was in the hanoi hilton. but take a good look at his record since then. he's a crappy person. do a little googleing and see what the hensely family is all about. look at what he did to his first wife, that fought tirelessy to get his butt outta the hilton and was then paralyzed in an accident. check out his darling wife. see how many dr's don't have licenses anymore because they provided her with phony prescriptions for pain pills. see how many folks tied to the hensleys and marleys are dead because of car bombs, murders, assasinations, etc. mcain has lined himself up with these kinds of folks. he's more liberal than most dumbocrats. and he's up for re-election this fall. and stuff like Rob Krentz's murder are happening because of really weak support for the law from politicians. you guys inform yourselves. look at who you're really voting for. i ain't all that high on jd, but he ain't mcain. this crap has to stop. it's gonna be hard to win because of such weak enforcement for several decades. but it has to start somewhere. sounds like now is a good time to start. Lark.
