Where do you store your tag before hunting season?
buffhunter replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in The Campfire
Goes right in my gun safe.... matter of fact I just pulled out my archery antelope tag and put it Ilin my pack so its ready to go next weekend!!!!!! -
That was the coolest thing ever!!!!!!! heck I shake that bad when im shooting at an animal!!!!!!!! Ha. SO AWESOME. im pumped just watching that!!!!!!
-
Sometimes though. ...... heck I think 5 bucks have been killed in 19 so far..... and one year my dad had one of the 10 tags in 35b and my dad and 7 others tagged out...... they shut the hunt off 2 years later. Also my buddy killed a buck in a 4 last year and turned in his survey and it still says 0% hunt success? ?....

WOOOOOOOOOOOOOO HOOOOOOOOOOOOOO CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!!!!!! GOOD LUCK TO ALL!!!!!!!!!!! -
Dont cut through the chest if you would like to mount your animal.....other then that good video.....
-
Lol I always shot 80-100#s for years....... and recently went to a 70# bow and my shooting has gone down hill a tad..... I think the more holding weight helps me aim better..... I think im going to go back up to 80+ myself....
-
While that is somewhat true..... momentum is better then kinetic imo. Shoot through a chronograph at 60-80 -yards and see how much energy you have lost with the lighter arrow compared to the heavier one....

any tag holders wanna play "score the goat"
buffhunter replied to 5guyshunting's topic in Antelope Hunting
83.2 but I think im over judging cuz of the close up -
Just curious what makes you think that buck is around 2 y/o? I shot a 70in buck that was just over 12in and he was aged at 6/7....... not all bucks get big because of age. You gotta have the genes also. But is it his body or something else that makes you think that around 2 is his age? I just dont know?

Nice job congratulations! !!!!!!

Wow that is soooooo flippin awesome!!!!!!!! A huge CONGRATS to you and your daughter!!!!!!! No offense to anybody that uses guides or to guides themselves but I am stoked to see this went to a DIY hunter (and not another guided bull with all the water marks) especially to a father/daughter!!!!!!!! I have a soft spot since I have 2 young huntresses soon to be big game hunting.

I agree with you there. He's been seen in several subdivisions, guess he likes the variety of easy food. Yep last I herd he crossed the highway and my buddy took a couple pics of him over there also

**Question for the camo wearing ladies on coues whitetail
buffhunter replied to hoghntr's topic in Classified Ads
Same thing for my wife, she hates all the womens camos..... what she does like though are the sweatpants and hoodies..... my wife gets cold easy so she dresses in many layers. So in az as hot as it will get in the day she can take her underarmor and other stuff off and throw her sweats back on real quick.... plus they are super quiet.... -
I'm curious why does it matter hard or soft? Not trying to spark anything I just can't imagine why it matters! But I know you have a good reason so educate me No particular reason I just dont like the look of soft horned animals just my personal preference.

If your string is still rotating after a 100 shots or so something is wrong with the string. Buy yourself a 60x string set. They make fantastic strings and cables and are gaurenteed to have no strech or creep. Or you get another set for free

5b is an awesome unit. I wouldn't be surprised if you herd bugeling in Nov. ...lol tons of elk in the southern portion just walk a few miles off the roads and you'll find em no problemo
-
What an awesome beautiful bull!!!!!!! Congrats man

You can just take one piece of electrical tape enough for one wrap and it will hold the blades in for 2-3 shots. Thats what I use to do when I shot them. Its actually what I was told by the owner Rick to do.
