1) Stay low. Don't be the object standing higher than your surroundings. Don't hold a metal or graphite object (gun, arrows) 2) a) Try to remain calm (I said try) Remove any jewelry that will get tight when the swelling hits. c) If you can (if your cell works) call for help and they can meet you back at your vehicle and get help started on the way. d) Don't run but calmly walk back to vehicle. You don't want your heart rate up. e) Don't cut and suck, don't apply suction. Ice helps slow the blood flow but you probably need to be back at the truck to get ice. A tournicate is not a good idea unless you know how to do it.

azshtr replied to Big Browns's topic in Photography of Coues Deer and Other Wildlife
Do you actually have a oic of him messing with the camera? Or just a pic of a hunter? Though I guess if hes the only one you have a shot of who else could it be. Just curious. -
Yotes on Ord
azshtr replied to CouesFanatic's topic in Small Game, Upland Bird, and Waterfowl Hunting
The road to Bushnell tanks is closed. There is a road sightly further north but doesn't go in very far from the freeway. The road up mt Ord is open however. -
No jeep deserves to be this clean. Someone buy it and put it to use! Just kidding!

That last one was a tad CLOSE! My hair would have been standing up and new shorts might have been needed.
-
Thought I'd try and lighten it up a tad. You can see him better now. Did he do anything other than look at and wave the ladder in front of the camera? Am I missing something?

With such a short list I'll take one of each.

STOP giving away the good spots! There won't be any left! -
Azshtr, This is great! Which end do you want to start on Southeast or Northwest? We need a plan so we're not stepping on each other. EBB I'll take the center half, you can have the perimeter. When I run out of room to quad through perhaps we can switch?

I knew lurking would work.

And I'm to lazy to write my own request so I'll just lurk and watch.

Perfect... thanks for the link. I don't remember the model... I'm in Montana flyfishing right now... gotta run!

I picked up a 50 cal knight muzzle loader at the gun show last weekend. It was a whim. I'd like to learn to use and shoot it. Any pointers to the right direction, gun shop, web sites, any help at all? Its a nice gun, just don't know anything about it. azshtr

New Taurus PT92 9mm stainless for sale. Only has one box shot through it. I have to many guns and NEED (want) a new bow. I bought this on a whim about 4 weeks ago. Its the new style with hammer release button. Comes with extra clip and 1 box of ammo. Its a nice gun. I'll only sell this to an over 21 person with an AZDL. $395 firm.

Nissan Titan, 4x4 4 door and I'm getting right about 15-16 stock.
-
That is the saddest excuse for an antler I've seen... and he's only got one!

Traded the f150 for a Nissan Titan. Still have the Ford Expedition and Jeeps though. The 10 year old F150 was not holding up well at all. I almost feel guilty... wish the F150 was better built.

Just this weekend scouting in the Matazals (however you spell it) I had an encounter. Hiking in and saw tons of bear sign on the trail, fresh dump and tracks... very fresh. I knew he was ahead of me. I came around a bend and there he was, staring at me. He had left the trail and crossed a small ravine. He was about 30 yards, very large and black. He wasn't concerned with me and kept walking but I lost sight of him in the brush. Problem was the trail curved around the ravine and thats where he, and I, was heading. I gave him plenty of time, was very loud, and walked very cautiously... and had my XD45 at hand. It was very cool. Its dry out there! I didn't see any water in the holes.

I always pack a pistol. Great story I'm sure you'll re-live for years to come.
