Liberal thinkin is stinkin thinkin. My wife was liberal when we met. After a couple years of interesting conversation (nothing confrontational, just fact based) she now is fairly conservative in her look at the country and best path forward. There is hope!

Costa Rica set to BAN hunting!
azshtr replied to Chef's topic in Political Discussions related to hunting
I was going to post a thought regarding this type of political stuff on another "missing bull" thread but decided not to rain on that parade, then I saw this thread. It seams appropriate here. The off road community is very careful about not posting what can be used against them to try and shut down off road use... oil spills, trail cutting etc. Isn't this something we hunters should consider as well? Meaning... don't post what could be used against us. We are in a battle to save what we have. Just curious what your thoughts are. -
That was fun! Mitt owned Obama. They were not even in the same leaque. My favorite comments... "One guy was presidential, the other was the president." "Obama looked like he had been called into the principals office and was getting scolded for goofing off and not doing his homework the last 4 years."

Look up the FS office. Or if they have them in Tucson REI, or a hiking store, or a map store like wide world of maps (in phoenix, don't know about your town) -

Can Mitt possibly dig himself any deeper?

SNL is where Palins quote "I can see Russia from my house" came from. People actually believe Palin said it rather than Tina Fey. -

It pretty sad when the first real reporting and hard questions come from univision and not our main stream media. http://www.politico.com/news/stories/0912/81470.html?hp=t1_3 -

Because "Husein's" (Hussein) college record would help determine what kind of president he would be? Does it matter if he has a Master's or Ph.D. or a J.D.? I thought the point was that he wasn't born here, not that he didn't go to school here. Or are you concerned about his grades? I remember your quote, "I would much rather have Hillary in the White House than this fool." As much as libertard as you may think I am, I, like many Americans, consider myself a raging moderate. Even I couldn't countenance Hillary. Geez. I don't think it's the grades Obama is hiding. I think it's the birth country he put down to get favorable treatment and grants. ( I didn't say he wasn't born here ) -

It doesn't help when you need to overcome an obvious media propaganda machine called the news. The white house dictates news to media matters. Media Matters stories are picked up by most of the lame stream media news outlets. http://www.foxnews.com/politics/2012/09/18/emails-show-justice-working-with-media-matters-to-target-critics/ And then of course the slanted writing... Romney "Middle income is 200K to 250K and less" What gets printed is "Middle income is 200K to 250K" to make him look out of touch. -
I wouldn't think so. Unless you saw obvious foul play I would say it's just nature.

That looks like the contrail of a missile launch. When the light is just right you can see it from several states away.

Try being illegal in the country south of us. That won't end well. We could mirror the laws of where ever the illegal person is from, (Short of death of course), the illegal should know those laws. The USA is very lenient compared to most other countries. Heaven forbid you get asked to show papers or questioned about your legal status here in the USA. I was in Germany all of 30 minutes before I was asked to see papers.... this was after customs and as I was waiting for luggage. I didn't mind, they have a right to know who is in the country. The same should apply here.

I like my M77 MKII .270 so much I bought it twice. I kicked myself for selling it, so I bought another. Nice gun.

Looking for a new tripod? These are great!!

From a longevity standpoint twist locks never were out. Snap locks eventually don't grip after wear. -

I can vouch for the Promaster. It's a great tripod. I have one in my photo studio and it has been trouble free with heavy use and plane travel for over a year now. Well worth the money. I bought it to save flight weight with my gear. I gave up nothing in support. The twist lock legs are trouble free and don't require you to hold the leg above or below... a pet peave of mine on many tripods with twist lock legs. It also has a nice feature in a hook under the main center column where you can hang a pack for extra weight if it's blowing and you want more support. Not only has it been great in the studio, it's held up in the field hunting as well. EDIT: Just read the post above mine... I guess I'm not the only one to like twist legs that don't require extra work. -
WOW... tough read but here is the whole story on the drownings from one of the SAR guys. http://hardcoreoutdoor.com/2008/04/01/the-one-i-cant-forget--flash-flood-kills-boy-scouts-and-troop-leader--march-28-1998.aspx

The ironic thing is sometimes the gate is open, but then locked again. I don't know if that is for rancher access or what but someone could get locked in.
-
I think the official story is litigation from a drowning and fire. But I think the real reason is they are in a pattern of closing and not reopening lots of land.

I'm no expert so educate me... how are those a pair? They don't look like they came from the same deer. Is it just the basic same size, the similar off shoot on the rear tine, the similar size girth and eye guards? To many similarities to be coincidence even though the left is clearly a non typical. I should add... AWESOME sheds

Copied from another forum Today I was mushroom hunting and gave a ride to a very nice, younger archery hunter on Hart Prairie road. He left a key piece of his gear in my truck. If the person in question is reading this, or if any of you guys know who it might be... have them contact me @ 928-853-8200. An accurate description of said item and I will get it back to you asap. The kid mentioned he was born and raised in Flag, but I didn't catch his name. If any of you who frequent the other boards can spread the word or keep your ear out for a young hunter missing some gear, I would love to get it back to him. Thanks!
