I'm not sure what rights violations you are referring to. As I saw it everything they searched and asked citizens to do was voluntary. I have not heard of any home search which was initially refused. This search was no different than the man hunt for the cop killer in California, just more urban.

I would question the no intel... They were warned of this guy 2 years ago from a foreign government. He left the country to a known al quada strong hold last year for 6 months, and lived a few blocks from the bombing. I think the FBI knew pretty well who they were looking for in the crowd pictures. Great news on bringing this to a close, but it's time to review what went wrong. Even if they cleared him on the intial interviews and background checks 2 years ago, his passport had him out of the country and in known terrorist territory for 6 months last year. That alone should have had him back under scrutiny and surveilance. Which is why I think they knew who they were looking for early on.

The president has admitted to drug use. I don't think he would pass the background check.

I'll assume it's an inline ML. I use Triple seven pellets in mine along with Saboted bullets. I just like the simplicity of it. I don't care about the higher cost of shooting it that way. Others prefer the more traditional loose powder method. The 209 shotgun primers work very well with Triple 7. Before you shoot it pull the breech plug, clean the gun, and apply a little anti seize to the plug threads. Also mark (or learn the visual depth) of the ram rod in the gun empty, and loaded, so you know when it's empty or not. Always check before loading if you haven't shot in a while.

Cool stories. Other than the usual stuff we all find while poking around the outback this is one that comes to mind: In 5bn walking the edge of a steep drop off, on a game trail, my brother and I stopped to listen to a rapidly growing sound coming at us. An elk calf came running past us so fast we had to quickly step aside or we would had a collision. She actually brushed us. The poor thing looked very panicked and winded. It clearly didn't care we were in it's way. Seconds later here come the coyotes. They see us and hit the brakes. It's didn't take long for them to regroup and duck into the forest to go around us. We could hear them go around to get back on the trail. By this time I'd guess the calf got an additional 50 yards distance, I like to think we gave the calf enough distance that she survived. Not a death story but it was cool.

Perhaps the goal was to over push knowing this would be challenged... then give back a little... to end up where they wanted. I'm watching the few lawsuits going on across the country. They could have a huge impact on the outcome of this. I hope it gets pulled back a bit. Frankly I think we do have to many roads but this TMP is rediculous. On the other hand... I think they should should issue VERY expensive tickets for any vehicle caught off an established road. I'd also like to see tighter noise control. ( I realize I'm sounding like a grumpy old man )
