I went with a Titan because the rear seats flipped up as well as down. Up position leaves the floor wide open. In 2007 the Tundra didn't do that. So far at 150xxx only tiny little issues of age are starting to show. I did just need brakes for the first time as well as replace the starter due to a sticky selenoid. Other than the usual maintenance thats all its needed. 4x4 and 5.6 gets right about 16 in city. Tundras are nice though.

Be sure of your conditioning if you drop an Elk in there.

Viper has it described very well. Elk are all over that area. Scouting early is best to learn the lay of the land.

Climbing Arrow Ranch Elk Hunt 2014 with Jason Hairston of KUIU
azshtr replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Great video. Two thumbs up. I was surprised to see the elk hit on the right when the footage showed him walking left. But then again the footage never actually captured the shot and bull. Not claiming anything just something that surprised me when I saw the arrow. -
Camera Advice Please

Unless I'm mistaken the Rebel is not a full sensor camera. That adds magnification to your lens. A 600mm become a 900mm or so. You would need to look up the magnification factor for that camera. Probably 1.6x ish. -

The third party lens are pretty good these days. Don't think you need Canon glass. -
This. Filling those with clear epoxy is what I would look into. That is natures art.

Which rifle stock and why?
azshtr replied to Stickflinger76's topic in Rifles, Reloading and Gunsmithing
Kelly McMillan is a stand up guy and his company makes a great stock. I also like to support local business and they are in North Phoenix. -
Also Papago park has a basic target range. They do have targets but I bring my own. Ben Avery in North Phoenix has 3d. But my preference is Usery Mountain.

How about looking at the silver lining… one less person hunting the remote stuff.

It's not the ovens themselves that are getting vandalized, it's the property and house right next to them. The house used to be in great shape. Now it's ripped apart. The owner did a cleanup, again. The property is posted no trespassing but the signs get ripped down. As always it's a shame people abuse things like that. Martinez cabin (the same area) is the same situation. It used to be open and now is closed off to vehicles. At least the let you walk in still.
