I have a nice Franchi semi auto I'd part with. I thought I would use it but my 20 gets all the use. EDIT: As of today HAD a nice Franchi to part with. Parted ways today.

I only bring my membership card and DL to the gym. The wife got me into joining her in the various classes and yoga. I get a much better work out than doing my own solo thing. (Plus some very good looking gals in the classes). I was never into using trainers. My other fitness favorite is trail running with my dog. I wear my day pack and do about 2 to 3 miles. I am yet to wear the dog out however.

All the advice is solid. Now look at the recommendations by game and fish for units in your area and go start looking. You now need boots on the ground (eyes behind glass) . I've seen all all you need to know posted here to just go learn.

I disagree on the single pin. Just saying. Being able to dial in extra yards is enough for me... that and practicing at stupid yards just for the knowledge of doing it.

Is your draw length that short? Not saying it's not but maximum draw of 27" is a youth bow. Edit: I just re read the OP and you say 27 - 28 inch draw as a guess. Enjoy your new toy.
