Has never overheated. I Rino type painted trim for chip protection. No rust. Whole life in Arizona Fairly new radiator, thermostat and hoses. Sorry for your loss. Losing any family member is tough. Cats are unique in the way they do things. My wife volunteers one day a week at a cat shelter and always comes home happy.
