Looks like a pretty good shot probably a little low. My thought might be if the shot was low an obviously missed heart that he is still alive. They survive those brisket shots. Nice bull tho

Lark. I agree on how you cook your meat as well. That's how my dad cooked it when we were growing up. My wife prefers it grilled but I like it fried with fried potatoes an smothered in gravy. It's good for the heart to fight off those heart attacks. Exercise!!!

Best post on the thread. I could not agree more. Makes night and day difference. I would eat a well cared for rattlesnake over a poorly cared for elk. For game I (or someone in my household) have taken: Quail Elk Antelope (from Wyoming) Mule deer Coues deer Duck Black Hawaiian sheep Angora Goat Rabbit Javelina Dove I was going to put Mexican Grey "Large Coyote" on there, but then I remembered the third "S". Kind of stringy anyway. My black Hawaiian was awful. Stinking goat

Such a shame what shed hunting as come to
shanehamblin replied to joelpresmyk8's topic in Shed Hunting
It's just like archery deer season. Nobody draws tags anymore so this is what they do. It's extremely frustrating. I don't go anymore. Every truck in town has a 4 wheeler in the back covered in mud a month and a half before Bulls even start to drop. Instead of waiting an picking up 20 horns now 20 people race to 1 horn . Other states have seasons on it. It's headed that direction and I agree social media has a lot to do with it. It's a look at me contest. -
First would probably be blackbuck antelope then coues deer after that. As far as consistently being good every time I think coues is hard to beat

Vaquero outfitters..... Ouch that'll leave a mark

Not saying people aren't paying to hunt his property with or without a tag. Sounds like a piece of work either way. -

Even a private party would have to have a gnf license an permit. I understand that but they are friends or family he knows and are paying HUGE $$$ to hunt his property. He gut shot these elk in PV because they were competeing with his cattle for graze. I was told he hated the elk and thats why he did it. He was quoted saying that G&F did nothing to help him and his cattle were going hungry. Those elk were there LONG before he leased that land I say. The other fact about this, He gets hunt tags for his own property from G&F. Kinda of BS if you ask me. You get busted before and the G&F still helping him make $$$ Land owner tags in AZ? Don't think so. Maybe he's feeding you guys some bull. -

Can Someone Please Explain This To Me?
shanehamblin replied to Dominant Buck's topic in The Campfire
Sure glad I turned 30 this year. I've been tired of being in that group -
Ya but they have the opportunity to hunt with friends and family for 365 days if they choose.

All this thread does is give us all a heads up on who the idiots taking our cameras and stands are. It might make you sleep better at night thinking you do the right thing but fact is that's not your stuff. Next truck you see parked for the 24 hour abandoned property time, jump in an take it. You won't but what makes you think it's any different because it might only be a 75$ camera? Someone worked hard for that money an camera. It just seems like you all think someone has some unfair advantage because all you've done is sit on your butt until opening day. I've heard it a million times. They have 200 cameras out its not even fair. He glasses with kowas it's not even fair. He has a 1000 yard rifle it's not even fair. STFU

The auctions are really fun to watch an witness. Great way to raise money for conservation. I'd be buying too if I was in the position to do it. But for now I'll just worry about having enough in my acct so azgfd doesn't decline my app.
