Blessed with our first 2 coues bucks!

Very nice bucks. Congrats! Is there a reason you prefer packing the deer whole rather than quartering? Just curious. Again congrats 2 stud bucks

    Dream Come True...

The gun worked perfect. My cousins wife hammered a buck a few day before I killed mine And a friends daughter smoked a big ole muley with it about a week ago. I think 5 shots fired total an 3 very dead deer. I did buy the g7. Very good investment. Range dial shoot!!! Maybe my cousin will post the video of his wife's buck at 545.

    Wtt 338 win mag

Posting this up for a buddy. It's a Remington 700 ss with a shrewd muzzle brake. Barrel has been changed out. It only says 338-win mag. I was told it was a shillen but not 100% for sure. Half a gallon zip lock bag of brass , full length and neck sizer dies. 38 handloads. 200 gr ballistic silver tip. Looking to trade for Swarovski 10x42 slc's. Will throw in some cash on my end. Send me a pm I'll get you in touch with him.

What do Coues deer taste like?

But just fyi the only thing I liked more than coues was the blackbuck I killed a few years back.

    Invalid tag

Looks like a 2 for 1. Could've been hunting deer and bear with one tag.

What do Coues deer taste like?

I'm sure it's the way I grew up but you guys eat your deer meat way different than I ever will. Honestly never really thought about doing anything to special with it. Craziest I've got so far is grilling it an that's only because that's how my wife and kids love it. Otherwise I would never do anything but batter an fry it. Make some gravy along with fried potatoes. I'm sure those other recipes are good an work for you but for the way I was raised its just odd.

    question... shooting targets versus animals

I think you're thinking way to far into it. You know where you're supposed to shoot an animal. Pick a spot concentrate and follow through with your shot. Shoot a ton. I think muscle memory is huge. Let your body go into auto pilot. Don't make something so simple more complicated than it is. Good luck!!

How much $$$ to find one?

Did he also have his forest permit? I'm curious what you have heard about all this? You seem very confident that he was in the wrong. I can assure you he didn't get in trouble for anything. if the outfitter was questioned in some way I have no clue but the guide did not.
