I drew a bull tag in unit 10 in 1999 and arrowed a 5x6 at 53 yards after 5 days of hunting, I had to wait until 2008 for my next unit 10 bull in my avatar. 40 yards on a 370 bull after 10 days of hunting. I have not put in for a bull tag since 2008 because I like hunting elk and do not want to wait 9 years in between hunts. I also think I will never have another opportunity at an elk bigger than my 370, now I just put in for cow hunts cause I love the meat!!!!

I have a Rem 700 right hand X mark pro trigger for sale, it is stainless steel and was used for 40 rounds out of my Rem 5R. Selling because I replaced it with a Timney. It is an adjustable trigger, and comes with the safety. I believe it fits all Rem 700 but not sure about the older ones. Selling for $50.00.

I have shot the 95 berger VLD hunting bullets through my rem 700 and used 4831SC and had a group of .3 inches at 100 yards, was hitting a gong (13 inches) at 530 yards with ease. I was .40 inches off the lands and I don't remember the velocity I was getting but was an excellent load for my rifle. It is the most accurate load I have developed in any of my handloads. I am in the process of building a .308 load to match my .243 load, just started on that project, with a rem 700 SS 5R with RL 17, looks promising but have to look at the velocity I am achieving with the RL17 load with 185 grain bergers, those bullets are amazing!!! Hopefully I will tag out this year with the .243 down in 34A and see the terminal performance with that load.

My wife just bought me a pair of 15x56, and she told me that if I want to trade up to the 12x50 EL then I should go ahead and get them. Man, I have wanted a pair of 15x56 for such a looooonnnng time that I don't know if I should trade up, really need to know if they are worth it losing the 3x for 12s and will I be as happy with the ELs verse the SLC! I have a pair of 10x Nikon Monarchs and they are great, would love some feed back on this dilemma! I have been hunting for awhile and in the last few years just started with the coues deer fever!

I was up in unit 10 helping some guys out on the cow archery hunt. I was up on a ridge over looking my firends waterhole, he just had 4 cows come into water and they were just starting to settle down when a jeep came down the main road, this would have been fine if they kept on going, but they took the two track road that took them right to the water hole. The elk busted out of there as soon as the jeep turned down the two track. These "hunters" drove right to the edge of the water hole and one got out of the jeep in full camo and started looking around the water hole for tracks, they finally noticed the blind on the other side of the tank and they got back into their vehicle and left. I know it is a public land hunt but to do this "scouting" on the evening of opening day kills me!!! Did they not think that there would be someone at the water hole at prime time(6 PM)? I guess some people do not know hunter etiquette!

I have a 2011 PSE Bow Madness XS for sale, 60-70 pounds, it is set at 65 pounds and has a draw length of 29 inches ( it can be adjusted from 26-30 inches), $350 for the bow and I will throw in numerous arrow of different weight. I had this bow and used it for the the Jan hunt, I guess I took it out 3 times in the field and did not shoot it after Jan, it is smooth and flat shooting. Reason for the sale is that my wife bought me a PSE AXE6 and I dont need this one. I will post pics this afternoon.

Drew 34B, 4-10 Nov with 2 other guys. This was our 4th choice, never been there but have driven by the area. My concern is with safety because it looks like beautiful whitetail country. Would like to meet up with other members and possible camp by some other hunters.

AZ Ranger, I shoot a 350 spine with a straightness .003, with the custom wrap and fletchings they were about 130 shipped to my door for one dozen!

I have switched to harvest time arrows, I shoot the HT-1 with a penetrator insert, the arrow weighs 375 grains without a tip. These arrows are basically the same as the victory arrow but much heavier, they pack a punch. I shoot a 29 in arrow with a 100 grain tip (475 total weight), 2.25 bohning shield cut vanes with skull wraps and this out penetrates the FMJ and flatlines that I shot before. I shoot a PSE AXE6 set at 67 pounds, 29 inch draw and get my HT-1 arrow coming out at 285FPS. I have not used them on any animals yet as I only received them 2 months ago. I ordered them from a guy on the web, he built them up for me and I can not wait to try them out, check them out on youtube!
