Mr. Smith, With no dis-respect intended are you a bow hunter? I would bet, considering this kid's "handle" he is shooting the best equipment out there.... and I bet .019 (or smaller) pins on that bow he is shootin'. Not only have I done it but know many others that have pulled 3" or smaller groups at 90, 100, and beyond at non-moving targets, with .019 pins. A bedded buck is the perfect target, I have seen hunters wound and lose elk 20yds or less. It is pretty safe to guess that there is no "luck" in the fact that the arrow struck the "boiler room" on this deer.... however, making all the right choices after the shot can make or break the best shots. Don't hate the kid cuz he can shoot.... he just needs to get back out there and recover his deer. There is no substitute for Effort at this point! Lets wish him the best and hope he gets lucky out there. You guys suck. Keep shooting that far and keep losing game. Disrespect for the animal, archery, and hunting. Coues n sheep aren't you an outfitter? Wow another unimpressive action/statement by an outfitter. Maybe you should change your handle to coues n bullsheep!

MI man fined and revoked for killing elk too close to homes
Psychozar replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
Isn't this same same outfitter in contraversy every year. Remember that big 430+ bull killed on the Verde River last year? Rumor has it that these outfitters had the Gov. tag holder all over this bull. This bull lived in a river bottom that is choked full of development. Homes ,human inhabitation and safety not deterrents taken into factor. The successful hunter was a legitimately licensed archery hunter in an archery only zone. Congrats! What would happen if the Gov. tag holder shot that bull in this archery only zone? Me thinkest that the hunter would be in a heep of trouble as is the above mentioned. The outfitter, ...innocent as a virgin! -
El pepe Was your response to my post??? If it was apparently you and psyco do not understand the term devils advocate. Huntn coues Not directed at you. Just disappointed in the senseless quarrel. I am a bowhunter. I respect all hunters rights. Isn't it the National Forest owned by the community which we are all a part of? If you don't want to see other people, walk more than 100 yards off the road. Works for me. Most other hunters just drive on by.The only people you will see are the Knuckleheads on ATVs who don't understand the terms closed road, no off road travel, wilderness area, etc. By the way, I have tons of trail cam photos that i could share if someone could assist me.

Hey All, Had my bow lifted from the back of my truck on Apr. 21. Location was Viejo St. Cottonwood,AZ. The bow was a Matthews Rival Pro. It had Spot Hogg sight, and Trophy Ridge rest. If anyone runs across a suspicious bow, a heads up would be greatly appreciated. Thanks, Mark

I saw the rally on the news today. I failed to see any of you big bad talkers waging an anti immigration rally. Sincerely, Mark Salazar -

Howdy All, I will ask my buddy to tell his story. I felt it would be better for him to give the details. I can tell you that the buck was killed from a Double Bull blind . thanks, Mark

How is it going fellow hunters? I thought I would add a sour story to the topic. this year I helped my handicapped uncle put up his new ladder stand at a water hole near Flagstaff. The first day he sat in the stand, he had several does approach the water hole. The does were hesistant and never came in to water. We thought we would give the stand a break for aday in the hopes that the deer might calm down. When my uncle made his next attemt to hunt the tank, he discovered Goldilockshad been lounging in his stand. She left her candy bar wrappers littering the base of the stand. Uncle Ben assesed the situation and noticed an odd sway about his ladder. It was bent inward. Uncle decided to hunt the stand despite his findings. Unfortunately, when uncle Ben reached the platform, He found further damage to the stand. Where the ladder attaches to the platform, the metal was literally ripped. This stand was brand new, and had a 300# rating. Apparently Goldilocks was a big girl. Happy Hunting, Mark
