You shouldnt have any problems bedding the HS stock. I have bedded many rifles wearing HS stocks, and they all came out great. What issues are you worried about.

Rock It may be 8.7

The 7WSM really shines with the 180s. Get a 1-8.75T and you will be good to go with the 180s. As youngbuck said some use the LAs. I just speced out a custom build for a friend with a LA and a 8.75T. That is the only way I would go with a 7WSM, but thats my opinion.

Better barrel life than the 6.5. Less recoil than the .308s. High BC 180gr bullets.
-
Out of those listed, 7WSM by far.

Too bad I didnt see this last night. I went out this morning with my CED, to check my 338 EDGE. Im live in QC as well. I dont rent out my CED, but I wouldnt mind meeting you and letting you shoot through it sometime.
-
Both are great rounds. Out to 500yrds it will not matter what round you choose. I shoot heavies with the highest BC I can find. Out to 500yrds BC doesnt matter that much either. You could shoot a light bullet and be just fine, and the recoil will be much less. If you dont like recoil you could also make the gun heavy, but then they are harder to carry. Out of the 2 cal, I would get the WM. The WM will out run the WSM as long as you have at least a 24in barrel or longer.

Turrets and dialing have nothing to do with FFP or SFP scopes. As far as mounting a scope, if you plan to dial alot of elevation you need to look into using a MOA base.
-
Run your load through a balistic program, and that will tell you if you need a 20MOA base. I would stay away from the preset turrets, as they are set for one alt, temp, bar ect. If you shoot at the same alt, temp, bar ect then you would be fine. Most of us dont. If you need a base I would get a 15MOA base which would give you some room on either end since your scope doesnt have much internal ajustment.

Sweet man. Cant wait to hear how it shoots.

If your going to mil then FFP is the way to go. What i dont like about FFP is that on low power setting the reticle can be hard to see, and on high power setting the reticle can be a bit too thick on real small targets far away. I use a LRF so i dont really need the FFP, and prefer a SFP.

They are new, and not the 210s.

You dont need a 1-8T.

Im helping a buddy of mine sell a Model 500 S&W. SS 4in barrel ported. Has everything that came with it from the factory in the original box. It only has 50rnds through it. It also comes with a very nice chest holster that was around $160, and it was never even used. I think it is a diamond d custom leather chest holster. I dont have any pics right now, but it is in like new condition. He would like to get $1000 OBO. Please pm if interested. Thanks for looking.

reloadersnest.com Start there. Work up and have fun. What works in one gun may or may not work in another. You have to come up with your own loads.

$800 with out the holster. I can email pics if you want them.
