Women's Javelina Hunting Camp - Thanks Amanda!

What a great recap of the weekend. I too had a blast getting to know everyone. I got to help mentor with Gerry and Craig. What great guys and perfect javelina guides. It was so awesome to see Joanne harvest her first big game (even though Jacqueline and I scared them right to her!) Jacqueline and Jennifer had so many stalks, but each time were unable to get a clear shot through the thick cactus and brush down there, but they seemed to have enjoyed themselves and we certainly enjoyed getting to know them. Kudos to the cooks! Wow! The food was amazing. I definitely did not expect to eat like a queen out there, but that's exactly what we got. Amanda, you truly did an amazing job organizing this event. It was my pleasure to be there to help out. The only thing that could have made it any better is if the javelina wanted to cooperate a little more, LOL. Marcy
  3. It is so hard to believe, but I made it to the top ten finalists of the Most Extreme Huntress for the second year. Last year, I fell short in trying to win a hunt to BC. This year the finalist with the most votes wins a trip to hunt Tahr, Chamois, and Red Stag in New Zealand. This would be an amazing opportunity. I am asking for your support by casting your vote at www.tahoefilms.com. If you like my essay, please vote for me and share this info with as many friends as you can. The competition is even tougher this year. These are some amazing women. Although I have not traveled the world as most of them have, I have hunted to the extremes in every hunt I can draw in the Western States. I hunt all DIY and public lands. I represent the Blue Collared hunter. I have also contributed countless hours to local conservation and youth clubs. I am dedicated both in and out of the field all year long. Voting only takes a few minutes and begins Nov 1st through Dec 31. Last year the winner was able to get about 6000 votes, so I am going to need a lot of support. You can vote from your computer, phone, etc. Thank you all! Marcy Harris

    dad not letting me hunt

I know, as a parent, it is very difficult to tell a child they can't go hunting. It is such a special time to spend with your children. But in our house, it has to be A's and B's or no hunting. Just recently, our son got behind on his work and wasn't dilligent on getting it turned in on time. Well, since it didn't bring him below a B, he got to go hunting, but because he wasn't being responsible, he didn't get to get out of school to do it, so only the weekend. I think he learned a good lesson. Parents HAVE to put their foot down to make sure their children grow up with good values. Do extra credit or whatever it takes to get that grade up and you will be back on track! Your dad obviously cares about you enough to make sure you have a successful future! So I agree, tell him Thank you!

    Immigrant Activity?

I talk with a couple of rancher ladies from over there in 29 all the time. They have been having lots of illegal activity, but I agree, don't let it deter you. We are packing into an area next weekend that is VERY close to the border. I am a little nervous, but I'm going to do it anyway!
  18. It seems the voting site is down right now. I will let you know when it is back up.
  19. That would be a BIG help, thanks! I really appreciate it!

Unbelievable 140 class monster from SC

    Wow! What a gorgeous buck!
  21. Thanks for the votes guys! I need to come up with about 600 votes to catch up. Any ideas?
  22. I think this is the same picture I was shown and told that they rode in to some remote area of 27. Supposedly, this was this guys first Coues tag. They killed 3 bucks out there in a day and half and the smallest one looked to be in the high 90s. That's the story I heard from a guy that said he knew them, although I can't really validate it.
  23. Thanks Jeremy! That will be really helpful!
  24. Thanks! I posted it on my facebook, but if any of you would like to do it as well, we could reach even more people! Thanks again, you guys are awesome!
  25. Thank you guys! If you can spread the word in any way, I would appreciate it.
