I dont think calling lions at night gives u much of an advantage.

The strip doesn't have as many lions as you are portraying. We had 20 cameras on tanks for a month and only got pic of one lion. I'm sure there are plenty of lions there but get real.

killed off salt mine road on 21 border. Almost everywhere there are elk in that area is mesquites

I have 8 of the ten, all with a bow. Did 7 of them in one year six were with a bow. Would of got seven but had a kiabab deer tag so passed up on alot of smaller bucks while bowhunting.

There are elk up there. I know a guy who has a ton of elk pics on trail cams. One herd of cows and they all had calves. Couple nice bulls and a few small ones. Buff are hit or miss. Both are a slim chance but u never know.

Long ears is right. Do the math. If your buddy killed 40 lions in one unit ( bs). At one deer a week that's over 2000 deer a year. Fact is lions have been around longer than any of us. Look at harvest rate. Amount of lions killed stay about the same every year. Lions do not kill a deer a week. Poor lions. Lol. Always getting blamed for everything.

Whether its open or not it will be all burnt anyway. Good number of the elk will die. Total bummer as its imo the most beautiful country in AZ. Feel bad for all that drew the tag after waiting years for it. More than likely will be closed though. Sad
