I understand where your coming from. But Russ is one of the few good guys when it comes to guiding. He has helped more people for free than probably all guides combined.
-
Different perspective. If you were his paying client and you knew there were Bulls most likely going to hit a certain salt. Would you not be upset if he didn't move one of his " freebies" to a different salt and put you in the best position to kill?

Was the paying customer a bull Hunter and your son a cow Hunter? If so it makes perfect sense to move you and put a bull Hunter in the blind if he only spotlighted Bulls in the field. Those buffalo can hit any salt at any given time. You have no clue the time and money Russ puts out to keep up his salt licks. You should be grateful he helped you for free along with numerous others. But he is a guide and his clients take priority so if you want a free handout then don't expect to be put in front of the clients who help pay the bills.

Is it possible for a non resident to draw a hunt with 3 points but another non res to not draw the same hunt with 4 points?
-
Lol. Yes you do. $41 won't fill up the tank for the first scout trip. Kidding. Congrats. Good problem to have

Try around Mormon lake. Or top part of cedar flats.

If you can't find a cow elk in 6a then you should hire a guide. Not trying to be a jerk but good grief.

Pretty ballsy shooting that billy.

Pm me the info. I'm interested

That dude lies like crazy to book hunters. If you could keep him out of the whore house long enough to manage his business right he would do ok.
-
Awesome!!! Congrats
-
I will pm you tonight once I get my map in front of me.

Sorry if I took your post the wrong way. Seems these sites are always full of Internet experts. Anyway. Those are just my opinions. Some may like 13a more than 12aw. Thought I saw you had a unit 7 tag this year? If so I can pm you some spots we have seen some studs in this year. Real good year in 7 this year.

Never mind. Sorry to question your mule deer experience. I see in 2010 you killed a "small forky". Lol.

Kazpilot25. What's your thoughts on the best units and why. Do you have any experience hunting the top units in az (12-13). Let's see some pics of 200" deer you have killed or helped kill. I have hunted these units enough to form an opinion ( see "IMO" in my first post). I have a few 200" bucks on my wall. Or do you just see all the "strip giants" on the Internet. Sorry if I took it wrong but your post seems to have a smart a$$ tone to it.

Yotebuster said best unit in the country. Lol. Really??? Just in az I think 12aw is better than 13a. And 13b is def better. This is just my opinion. As far as other states I know there are units in NM. CO. UT. that produce better than 13a. This is in general. There are years where 13a produces good numbers of 200 + bucks. But to call it best in the US is a stretch.

Do yourself a favor and call jeff Allen in south Utah. He has a great line of dogs and normally has a finished dog or two for sale.
-
Muleskinner is dead on. Lol. I don't know any dirt hunters running plotts. You will need to buy one good finished dog and some good young dogs. Expect to spend at least $5000 or you are taking a chance on it. Snow dogs are cheaper. Catching lions in the dirt is tough and the guys doing it have the dogs needed. If you don't buy a finished hound I got big money you don't see a lion in the tree for a long long time if ever. Unless you get real lucky
-
I agree. Nice bull but the guy doesn't seem like a real hunter. Forgets to put in every year? Might not mount it? Oh well. Giant bull none the less
-
Awesome. Your dads is a stud buck with cool kickers
-
Don't think you can legally keep him if you find him now anyway. What broadhead were you using

I'm saying if you shoot and lose an animal. Then someone finds it and post on Internet "found dead bull in x unit". This isn't directed towards this thread just a thought.
