Well we got one tag for this area in our group and was wondering if any of you have been there and what to expect out of this area? I'll be heading there in a couple weeks to scout and get an idea of the layout of the area. Basically wanting to know how much gas to haul, is the unit rocky, best map for the area, are the deer really that hard to find , and is the road west of Fredonia the best way to go from Flag. Thanks for any info you guys might have on this!

Nothing for me. My brother got 13B archery deer, you guys think that could be a decent hunt?

Blake, I think he has a good chance to break 500. I would say he's already at least 470 if not more, and could probably go as high as 510. The mass is unbelievable, it's almost like two antlers in one. I bet most of his points are at least 20" and a couple look 25-30+". He's got it all, he'll most likely be the biggest bull anybody's ever seen taken on public land.

I agree he's a good buck but could use another year or two. It's good to know you found a shooter buck in the area, I bet you'll find a few more by the opener. Good luck with the rest of your scouting, and keep posting those great photos!

Great pics! I like that skyline pic, he looks like a nice buck!

Hey those are excellent pics Jim! That bottom bull has a chance to be a great bull!!

That's great to hear Jim, but it doesn't surprise me I knew Swarovski would come through for you. I own a pair of Swaros and Leica and would take the Swaros over the Leica anyday.

Great pics! That bull growing out the top of the eye is pretty neat! -
What do you care, you aren't going to kill him anyway...........

Who are you and what are you talking about.....Please explain??

Lance, out of all the areas I could of put a trail cam it's pretty crazy how we have them near the same spot. Primetime this bull is not in 6A but not too far away. He'll end up being a pretty nice bull being he had about two months of growth left. Lance's picture was taken about a week before I got my picture.

Lance, I have a bull that looks similar to that one!! Now get your stinkin trail cam out of my area...
-
Lance do you have a pic of the droptine bull from last year for comparison? I don't think this bull is the droptine bull, but I could be wrong...
-
Lance noticed that he has the same bull as above on his trail cam which only means we have trail cams near the same spot. Just too funny!!

Lance here he is...

Great bull!! I would guess 384-388 w/ a 40" spread and 28" mass per side. If his royals and especially his seventh point grow a few more inches than it did last year, he could make 390".

Awesome!!!! That's a great day of shed hunting!!!
-
Great pics, nice to see there's some good bulls around!
-
Bear from last year.
-
Wow, that buck is something to get excited about!
-
I think it's time to start this also.. Just throw up any trail cam pics you have over the years and lets take a look at them...Pick a winner based on whatever criteria someone here wants to decide, but I'm ready to see some pics! Does anybody have any?
-
Possibly do a category for best quality picture of each animal (coues, elk, muley..etc) and a category for biggest buck or bull etc..in a photo?
-
Nothing in NM this year........Good luck to those who drew!
