Im in your same boat. Im putting a limit at 80yds. Go with the 48x, It will definately have more mirage and collect less light, but if you see a buck thats a long ways away and are undecided if its the buck you wish to go after, 30x might not help you make a decision. IMHO

I bought the angles and cut conduit for mine as well. Like previously said, make sure the cut ends arent sharp. I tried to keep all my lengths around 5' for packing purposes and used connectors. Also make sure that your measurements are a lil less then strong. And mark each tube so you dont get confused over the years. the minus is the weight. conduit is much heavier then aluminum. I think sportsmans sells em, but they sure aint cheap.
