AZBob replied to azelkhunter69's topic in Bighorn Sheep Hunting
SpeedGoat, Sent you a PM. Bob -
Avid Hunter, I don't know if this is a good deal on a Bell and Carlson or not, but I'll pass it along to you just in case. http://www.24hourcampfire.com/ubbthreads/ubbthreads.php/topics/10927224/Bell_&_Carlson_for_Tikka_T#Post10927224

I think it's a little too early for that report to be completed. Last year it was done in early February. -
If I was guessing, I'd say he's 168 - 172. An excellent buck anywhere, in my opinion. Measure him up!

Congrats on a great ram! The words "47 years" and "well worth the wait" don't usually appear in the same post, but it sounds like you did it right. The memories will last even longer than the scouting trips and the hunt did, so you've got more to look forward to.

Craig Dunlap's 2015 AZ Unit 22 Desert Bighorn Sheep Hunt
AZBob replied to Jay Scott's topic in Jay Scott Outdoors/Colburn and Scott Outfitters
Great old ram! Congrats! What a fun experience for everyone. -
When I was in grade school in 1966, one of my classmates took a record book desert bighorn ram. A mere 48 years later, I got my chance and got mine last year that scored within 1/4 of an inch of his ram. I kind of like that both young and old have a chance to draw a tag. Good luck to the tag holders that are heading out there in a week for their dream hunt. Hope you've already got a lot of enjoyment out of your special hunt!

If you're wanting to try a CDS model, you might consider the deal Cabela's is offering right now on their VX2 3-9x40 CDS model for $249. Pretty good deal!

I thought your last one was the buck of a lifetime. Congrats!

I have an almost-new pair of OR Gaiters for sale. The size is Medium, which according to their size chart fits a men's size 6-9 shoe. They are 16-1/2" tall and are Gore Tex lined. $20 if picked up, $25 shipped. North Phoenix. Sorry, don't know why the picture came out so small. Can text it for a better view if you need it.

Congrats! It's a great feeling to know the long wait is over, and I know because I had that feeling last year. Once you find out the unit you've drawn, there's a lot of planning ahead, but you'll have 4 months to get ready. The journey is a lot of fun. Hope you enjoy it like I did.

Awesome mount. Stunningly lifelike.

SirRoyal you are a great score-guesser. My ram scored 175-6/8.

Here's my Ram with the optional Bighorn package! Not the best picture, but it was about 11 pm when we got back to camp.

This one isn't near the quality of Pixman's, but it was a lucky shot of a family of quail minutes after the babies jumped out of their nest on our front porch. It was purely a fluke that I happened to catch them all lined up.

Can Anyone Explain the Bonus Pass by Hunt Number???
AZBob replied to rossislider's topic in Rifle hunting for Coues Deer
The 4000 series of hunt numbers cover the spring turkey hunts in that report. -
And just in case you didn't know, his collection includes the World Record Typical Elk (442-5/8) that was taken in Arizona. It's pictured in one of Amanda's photos, about the 7th pic from the bottom. This is a great opportunity to see the real stuff, not replicas.

Jim White undergoing open heart surgery...please pray for him
AZBob replied to CouesWhitetail's topic in Prayer Requests
Sad news. His legacy of designing well-engineered products for hunters is outweighed by the kindness he showed to everyone he met. Great guy, very sorry to hear this. -
Model numbers would help. Roof Prism or Porros?
