Flatlander.....Please move forward with your ideas....posting them here is great but does nothing in the long run.....You don’t need an organization to move forward....But if you feel you do please contact all of the and make it happen.....Start making phone calls find out what will and won’t work. Find out what you need to move forward....keep us posted

I am not part of asfw so I cant speak to their admin fees. I know anyone can attend their monthly meetings. I would hope that someone from this site could find the time to attend and ask for a reason why the administration fees are what they are. I can tell you the Arizona Deer Association has a very limited overhead. We pay a administrator/ bookkeeper a nominal monthly fee and we incur fees during are banquet but other then that we have very little overhead. At anytime anyone can attend a monthly meeting to any of the local wildlife organizations and ask or propose anything they want. These are volunteers that run these groups I can tell you any of them would welcome new people and new ideas.....the funny thing is conserve and protect has never said this is the only way. They stated they want your ideas. If its better then what they propose make it happen. Absolutely nothing is written if you or anyone else can provide a better idea they will move on it.....and 100% of money raised goes to Fight the fight.....I dont know what that fight is I just know we as sportsman better be prepared as there are several groups out there that are against hunting and they are all well funded...

I’m going on duty for the next 72 hrs and my ability to post will be limited.....But a few thoughts to consider When the last attempt at something like this took place a very large number of sportsman screamed and yelled from the mountain tops that a new group was needed to make sure nothing like that ever took place again. So in conjunction with representatives from the game and fish department a new group was formed....They were gonna change the world....They had ONE yes ONE meeting before they all realized that it was going to take time and effort....Then they all went away till now....Now the same people are back screaming and yelling about the same things but the overwhelming majority of them have done absolutely NOTHING since the last go around......a great majority of those individuals are posters on this very site..please tell us why you have done nothing since the last effort For all of you posting ideas....Why are you not taking the bull by the Horne’s and making these changes yourself....is it because it’s much easier to sit behind your keyboard and tell someone else what they should do. Do you not know how to get started....I’m sure anyone of the local wildlife organizations can point you in the right direction....Or a quick interweb search can provide all the info needed....Stop telling others what to do and show all of us what you can do....Be the one that changes the system get laws passed...Make the bad man go away.......My guess is the overwhelming majority of you would rather be an antagonist then make a positive change......in the end this effort probably won’t happen you can all wave your pitch forks and pat yourself on the back about a job well done.....But for those of you that currently work for positive change and are willing to put forth the needed effort.....Know this it’s appreciated more then you know. When they come and they will ....maybe not today maybe not tomorrow but yrs from now....win or loose you know that you made an effort....You stepped away from your keyboard and did all you could......Thank you

76...Never said it was not worth doing....Please step away from your keyboard and start the process......please keep names and contact info of the state representatives you speak to and meet with so we can also contact them and help speed the process along.....Be the guy that changes the whole system for the betterment of all sportsman.....Please let all the local wildlife organizations know how they can help you.... Or sit behind your keyboard and tell others how to get it done...the choice is yours....

The joining of forces ( the local wildlife organizations ) is exactly how the monies were raised to fight this recent HSUS attack. ( along with donations from a handful of private donors )....The local organizations had made it very clear they cannot continue to put forth those types of funds again and again and continue to do the everyday work they currently do. Absolutely no monies raised from tag and or permit fees can go to fight a political agenda. It would take a change to the state constitution. .....Please look into the money, time and effort required to do so. Also the slim chance it would be approved Pittman - Robertson monies would require a complete change to the system country wide.

Can someone please explain why you think Don and SFW have anything to do with this....And please not assumptions and personal opinions but hard facts....Is his name on a board, was he at a meeting, has he made comments about it or ?

Oh and ANY of you are welcome to join ANY of the many wildlife organizations in the state INCLUDING conserve and protect and make an impact in your own way....

A few more thoughts..... For those of you who want to raise funds the same way HSUS does ....By fundraising....Please look up there fundraising budget....They spend more on fundraising in one year then we could hope to raise in ten....But I implore you to start making phone calls and knocking on doors to start.... Please make phone calls to the state and find out just what it takes ( time , effort and money ) to change the laws and state constitution. And then by all means please start the process....

Gentlemen I could care less how the money is raised.....I dont care if you all get together and have a bake sale !!!!!.....But I would explore all of you to get off your collective ##### and do something....If you dont like this idea then take it upon yourselves to find a solution.....Dont stand on the sidelines!!!!!!! Dont just say why dont we do this and that. DO IT !!!!!! Why should the next sportsmens take the time and effort to make a difference when all you do is sit behind a keyboard and complain......For those of you who think this fight is over and HSUS wont be back....I have no words for you .....I beg of all of you look at what the trappings ban did to the deer and goat numbers in this state.....If you truly believe that a lion ban and then a bear hunting ban wont destroy are game herds.....again I have no words for you....The information is out there....not from any organization involved in this look it up..... This isnt about one sportsman its about are sport as we know it.....

Be VERY careful using a light barrel in a big magnum....I have tried it a few times over the yrs and never had good luck with it. They tend to whip and can really hot really fast.....The lightest barrel I will use on any rifle I build now is a # 5 with flutes....

I would not go to STRICTLY DIESEL if it was the last place on earth !!!!!....Worst customer service I have ever had....repair was supposed to take two weeks and be apx $6000.00 Dollars ....10 weeks later and $13.976.00 Dollars later I had my 6.0 ford back and it never ran right after that....Had it back over a dozen times finally took it to Pro diesel and had them fix numerous items that Nate and his guys screwed up.....other then annual maintenance and wear and tear items my ford has run perfect since I started using pro diesel....

I already bought a few cases of shells for the wife myself and are son.....I laugh till I cry watching my wife blow through box after box cussing like a sailor....

I have never had an issue with the smell from the fire treatment. Just FYI....Wall tents can be a pain....internal frame tents need more then one person to set up/take down....external frame tents are much easier but a pain in hard/rocky ground....NEVER put them away wat or damp....always make sure you stake them down correctly....They will shrink if not !!!!.....you will never get it back in the bag it came in.....But they are priceless in the right situation.....

My best tents have zippered doors with screens AND storm flaps at both ends. Make sure you get windows on each side. You need the ability to get air moving through the tent. The tents can get hot even on late season hunts and almost excruciatingly hot on early and mid season hunts.
