Danner Pronghorns Good or Bad?!
Jcubed replied to Whitetail Buck Deer's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I have 400 grams because I occasionally travel to Mt and wish I had gone uninsulated for Az, although I bet the 200 gram would work for just about everything in Az but summer. -
Take good optics and glass away. I have seen some good bucks in that unit. And yes that is a good tag, been thinking about burning lots of points on that hunt but at this point i gotta hold out for the strip lol.

Thanks for the reply!

I love mine and use them pretty hard. Been in the Grand Canyon to the border. My only advice would be to be careful what insulation if any you get in them for Az hunting. -
Good luck on a great tag! Seems your December will be quite busy!

Catalina Island rattlesnake: Crotalus catalinensis. Bucket list species for me! IA Born I have heard a theory that rattlesnakes rattle less today, as the ones who have rattled to alert their presence are killed. Thus, the snakes that rattle to alert are being taken out of the gene pool leaving those that don't rattle to procreate leaving subsequent generations less apt to rattle at approaching danger. Is there any truth to this theory? Thanks in advance for any insight!

Thanks guys! I like to try and judge sheep and have read books etc but am still a newbie. For the most part I get close on the score but I like to always hear and learn from the experts. Awesome videos azcouesfanatic!

Me either. Those snakes keep a lot of other disease carrying animals in check. Always enjoy coming across a rattler when I'm out. Got a couple cool pics of him too.

Thanks for the pics! What do those rams score from the experts?

If funds don't allow huge expenditures on this hunt then just realize that and go have an adventure! This is a tag people dream of having and you have one, take a moment and enjoy just that fact. Take a friend or two, see some beautiful country, with the chance of finding the buck of a lifetime...filling the tag or not, just enjoy the experience and God's creation! The best hunt I have ever been on was in a "trophy" unit on a tag my gf had. Due to work, school, and research I couldn't scout at all. It was the best adventure I have ever been on and on the last evening we were under 200 yards from an amazing buck...missed shot but I wouldn't have changed a thing about the adventure or the memories.

Congrats and have fun!

Mike Congrats on two amazing tags! If you need glassing help on the 46 sheep tag let me know. I'm pretty sure I can get some time off of work depending on when you will be hunting.
