I bought a cheap Walmart battery, so maybe that was the problem.

I have the same one. I bought it off Ebay. I just put it out, so we'll see what it gets. The only thing I don't like about it is the lantern battery. It goes through them pretty fast. I set it up in the backyard, just to see how long the battery would last. It only lasted about 12 days. It does take decent pics though. It has 16M of internal memory, but you'll want to get a memory card for it. If you use the internal memory, you'll have to take it back to the house to get the pics uploaded. I got 128M card for mine it says it will hold about 200 pics.

I uploaded it to my website and then just copy/ paste the url into the message. Also, your ISP probably provides you with some server space that you can use. Most do. I use Cox internet and they give me 10 megs of disk space to upload files to. If you call your isp or check their online support to see how to upload files.

I too missed my biggest buck when I almost stepped on him. It was about 5 years ago down in the Rincons in unit 33.

Cox cable dropped it from their lineup. That and ESPN was about all I ever watched too.

I carry a Canon Optura 20 digital 16X zoom with 1.5x extender. I am working on a way to mount it atop my tripod / binocs so that I can just hit the record buttom when I glass up something worth filming.

Maybe the Barred Owls are genetically superior to the Spotted Owls and nature is just running it's course? I predict that we will see this headline in the near future. Wow! Bass Pro Shops, Cabela's, and 2 Sportsman's Warehouses? I bet Sportsman's Warehouse is second guessing their choice to put 2 stores in the valley now and none in Tucson or Flagstaff. I feel sorry for the mom and pop stores though. I don't see how they can compete with this, the internet, and a Walmart on every corner.

Seems to me that would slightly illegal since they said nothing about it in the regs and never asked for public comment on it. I think where this comes from is the fact that they raised the set aside for point holders from 10% to 20%. That will give tags to probably 99% of all max point holders. If you have max points or even 1 point less than max, put in for your dream hunt this year, ie unit 10 or 1 early rifle or unit 1 or 9 archery. Don't settle for less than your dream.

Has anyone ever seen an elk on the Kaibab? I have spent a decent amount of time up there and never saw or heard a single elk. Saw saw old droppings once, that's it.

Don't hate me, but I drew a rifle Antelope tag in 2001 with 1 point. Try the muzzleloader hunts as a second choice. slightly better odds and most of the high bonus point hunters are staying with the rifle hunts. Todays ML'ers are capable of shooting 200 yards with good accuracy.

I know the interbonds are factory loaded by Hornady. I buy mine online from Cabelas. BTW, I have shot the Winchester Ballitic Silvertips too and they have always performed well on deer / antelope. They are not for point blank ranges though. You will have a mess if you shoot something at less than 100 yards.

I put in for ML'er elk and Antelope, but not deer this year. I really wish they would open up some more units to for the muzzleloader hunts though. I think it is a good way to offer more tags.

I am going to Alaska in September. Hopefully bringing back a Stka Blacktail buck and a big ol' black bear. I put in for the unit 23 Coues hunt too, so hopefully a a whitetail buck will hang on the wall also. Thanks for info!

I live in the SE Valley but I work in Phx, so it doesn't really matter. I used to go to Archery Headquarters, but won't go anymore.

I just set my new digital out this morning in the desert on a water tank.. I also have one set up in the high country. Hoping to find a good Muley for a bowhunting client. I have another I am going to set out in unit 23 in a place that gets both WT and Muley coming through. I have seen a few bucks that have started getting a good start on their growth so far this season.

What is the best shop in the Valley to get a new string and cable? What is the average rate for this work? I am going on 4 years on the same string and cables and they are looking a little ragged.
