I think a bunch of greenies have taken over and are determined to kill as few animals as possible.

ARIZONA RESIDENT HUNTER ALERT
DesertBull replied to Huntin'AZ's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
While you are asking for the 10% tax, will ask them to let me apply in California for Tule Elk and Antelope? Oh, and ask them to give more than ONE NR sheep tag. We give 15% of sheep tags to NR's. Thank you and have nice day. -
Last year, on my plane ride back from Alaska, I sat next to young kid that was returning from a summer at Doc Warner's Fish Camp. He had some amazing pics and video of big salmon and halibut and he had 12 boxes of fish on board he was bring back! He told me he would be bring a rifle and buying a wolf tag the following year because he saw a lot of them. You'll have fun. Oh yeah, this guy was ate up from head to toe with bug bites.

I have the Delorme 3D Topoquads 2.0 It is specific to Arizona. I like it because it is the only software that comes on one single DVD, no disk swapping. It does not do private vs public land though. The Maptech software does though, I think.

Muzzleloader Antelope 52 and 29 Rifle Deer - 2B Elk - ML'er 17 -
A LARGE LARGE percentage of the people surveyed have indicated that they did not want hunt success lowered or more "opportunity", yet the Dept recommends that the hunts be approved as proposed. What a waste of time and money to even put the survey out. They didn't get their money from the increase in archery elk tags, so they have to get somewhere else. I am seriously considering not even applying for AZ deer hunts anymore. Screw it, I'll go to Colorado, California, NM, UT, or Nevada. You want to know the brain power of some of the people they have running the show at G&F? I asked them about the possibility of taking a handful of the 600 rifle deer tags they issue in unit 37B and opening up a 4-6 day day early season ML'er hunt there. Their reply, "We don't feel the population of deer in unit 37B can withstand a ML'er hunt and we don't like to mix archery seasons with firearms seasons". HELLO!, there is no early archery season in unit 37B and you are issuing 600 rifle tags in a unit that probably has 200 bucks in it total!"

I see they just ignored EVERYTHING we told them and went ahead with the changes to the Whitetail seasons. The only thing they didn't do was shorten the Dec rifle season. Not only that, they INCREASED the overall number of tags coming off the worst winter in recorded history. AMAZING! Then they tell me it's not about the money! Hey, they did protect the lions though!

ARIZONA RESIDENT HUNTER ALERT
DesertBull replied to Huntin'AZ's topic in Coues Deer Hunting in Arizona
I want the state government as far away from the G&F department and the Commision as possible. Don't forget, the G&F also have made overtures about accepting tax money for the first time ever. They are playing with fire. -

I wonder if these schools would go out of their way to accomodate getting kids out of class to attend a hunter safety class or NRA rally. -
460 XVR or the Model 500 S&W
DesertBull replied to COOSEFAN's topic in Handgun Hunting for Coues Deer
They are raffleing one of those off at the ADA banquet on Saturday. If I win it, I'll let you take it to Alaska. I'll just need a steak or two in return! -

You would think that people coming HERE to this country to find a better life, would fly THIS countries flag proudly and not the one they just escaped from. It is their corrupt Government that caused them such hardship in thier homeland and not the USA. Mexico is a land rich in natural resources, fertile farmland, and desirable tourist destinations, yet instead of their Gov trying to develope that for the good of their own people, they would rather see them migrate out of the country. I don't get it. -
Before the lawsuit, the only deer tags subject to the cap were mule deer north of the Colorado River. Now, all hunts, for all species are capped.
-
Yes, everyone has to buy a license in order to apply.
-
I see that AZ is going back to the online applications. Does anyone know if they are going to charge the fees upfront like Colorado does, or if they will go back to the old way of charging only if drawn?
-
That's good shootin'. Anyone see the show "Survivor Man"? He trapped one of those and ate it. ALL OF IT. Even the bones.
-
"Applications will be accepted online again this year after a one-year hiatus. The new hunt regulations and application form should be available online at the Arizona Game and Fish Department's Web site, azgfd.gov, no later than the first week of May. Printed regulations and applications should be available at department offices and license dealers statewide no later than mid-May." From the AZGFD website.
