INFORMATION OVERLOAD!
-
I read an article recently that said many many ranches in Mexico are turning to high fence. Not only that, a lot of them are starting to use high rack vehicle so the guides can can drive around all day looking for big bucks and the fatties can shoot them right from the truck. Mostly desert mule deer hunts, but I am sure that the Coues hunts are being conducted the same way. Fricken sad if you ask me. Would not be happy if I paid $25,000 for a road hunt.

Usually, you just need to look at who is suporting the initiative to see the intentions behind it. If it supported by developers, home builders, etc it is most likely designed to get the most land developed for smallest amount of money and/or the least amount of red tape. Hint: If you see the name George Johnson supporting ANY land bill or initiative, vote no, then get your mom, dad, sister, gerbil, and grandma to the polls and make sure they vote no too! -

As soon as my daughter is done with high school, I am out of here. No disrespect to those of you that still enjoy it here and / or have lived here all your life, but this place sucks. -

I think Arizona has just passed Cali as the most liberal state in nation. First Nappy, now Harry Mitchell? What the....? And we are the first state to ever defeat a gay marriage ban. Embarrassing. Oh yeah, BOTH land measures look like they will not pass. That's good. Time to move. Anyone ever been to Idaho? -

Don't leave your chads hanging. -
THe only way to beat a deer's nose is to hunt with the wind in your favor. If the deer can smell the campfire on your clothes, he can also smell your human scent, so what does it matter.

Awesome! That will be the best deer meat you will ever eat. -
That would be some sort of freaking record.

http://www.azgfd.gov/artman/publish/article_643.shtml WHAT? Any changes in store for this year like there were last year? Example: messing with the archery hunts, trying to install more Nov archery elk tags, etc.
-
That's because it is too cold in November for the road hunters to get out of the truck.
-
There are only a few places left that you can pack in over 2 miles and not cross a road anyway, so what's the point? Wouldn't you be ticked if you packed all your gear into some hole and woke up on opening morning and found a 27' 5th wheel trailer with generator blaring, two ridges over? Don't ask me how I know.

Archery elk hunts now have worse odds than many late season rifle hunts. Wasn't like that a few years ago.
-
Good luck, I hope you find one. You and your dad-in-law are not the problem with road hunters. There is a 180 degree difference between needing to hunt from the vehicle and "just too dang lazy to leave the truck". One of the biggest things that bothers me about road hunters, is that there were alot of hunters who were willing to work hard that would love to have a tag but didn't get lucky in the draw. Like ME!
-
I prefer hunting by myself. I hunt as long as I want to, quit when I want to, go wherever I want to go, eat the food I like, etc. I have only a select handful of people that I share my hunting time with.

RIGHT ON!
